:D This pricing, for new vehicles, is really getting to be absolutely ridiculous from GM

Just did a PDI today, check it out

2010 Sierra 1500, REGULAR CAB, LONG BOX, 4x4, SLE

MSRP $35,000... :thumbs::sigh::omg:

No rear defog, no fog lights.

Then, we can park it next to a leftover 09 CREW CAB Sierra that MSRP's for $36,xxx

GM...what in the world are you thinking.......???

American car companies have gotten Americans soo used to huge discounts they won't buy unless there are $5,000+ incentives. It's pretty bad that we expect that kind of discount these days but they dug their own grave on that one.

I looked at a 2010 Sierra 1500 2WD. It was nice, but priced at 39,000. It was an SLE. Dealer would only come down to 37,000, so I bought an 09 4WD for 26000. :thumbs:

The high sticker price is a joke. You get 10k off just by farting in the show room.

This is what American car sales have turned to. Warning! Not work safe:

I am guessing that commercial was on a cable channel not NBC or CBS?? Priceless....

Since GM decided not to put the Duramax in the Extended Cab for 2010, I could not make a direct comparison. Before I was able to make the deal on a leftover 2009, I compared fully loaded 2500HD Crew Cabs and found the 2010 to be roughly $750 more. I remember there were only a couple of items that were different. The real kicker was in the incentives from both the dealer and the factory. I was able to get $8500 in cash and discounts on an 09. It was less than half on the 2010 but I would be able to order one exactly the way I wanted. I took the cash, thank you very much!

If you want to see price jumps, wait for the 2011 Duramax with the new emissions crap. I am hearing the LML engine is costing $2-3,000 more and GM will make more of the previously included items optional to help make this bitter pill easier to swallow.

The prices are unreal, I was building one on chevy.com a few days back. I gave up once I saw the price, and the fact that it takes 2 years to load a page.... Even at work where we have T3 connection!

I got $9000 in rebates on my 09 last year in October. Went to a dealership two days ago just to look around and they had an 07 with 23k miles on it for $27000 but an 09 brand new for $26500 and this one had the Texas package with 20" wheels. I hate dealerships. I wish we could just cut out the middle man or even make it like car max. I got my wires Benz there and it was a whole different experience I loved it.

Amen the dealers are sharks and need to have a real good sorting out done to them.

I bought my 09 left on lot new and was discounted over $9000

10 in the same config was about $7000 more.
