Omg! I Think I Just Stumbled Onto Something Brilliant!

I use the spray on tire dressing since it's easier to use and gets into the crevices well. The only negative was the over-spray onto the wheels. It always left the greasy film on the wheel that attracted dust.

So I was going to buy some thin plywood and cut a 20" disc and install a cabinet handle to place over the wheel to protect it from over-spray. Well, I found something ready made and a lot easier to use. It fits exactly inside the lip of the wheel. See below:

If you'd fasten that on with screws, you might start a new fad!

we should add that to the list of mods. Should make you go faster. :)

You missed a very imperative detail... What size wheels does that fit?

He was going to cut a 20" disc, so I'm guessing he's got 20's :)

I got it at Ace Hardware. There was a smaller one there that appeared to be about 18 inches.

Weird how that worked out! :)

Well not weird, because a 20" lid should fit a 20" wheel. But you get 100 points for figuring this out! :)

that will work but this stuff, VRT, will take care of the issue. It does not sling or attract dust and no browning of tires. If you like the wet look high gloss this stuff is not for you...THis stuff is a low gloss, great look for a truck. It goes a long way and you can use it on all your black trim and in engine bay. I was not sure about this stuff but tried it and it is great...The applicators in the kit work great..

nice, they make a plastic one called wheel shield. 16 and 17" only

I made 2 (20" rims and 18" rims) out of plexiglass
