First Avalanche Or Crew Cab?

I saw this guy at a traffic light in East Peoria, IL. Could be the first Avalanche or Crew Cab  , which ever way you want to look at it haha. Seems to me like a Suburban that someone has taken and chopped the back end off to make it into a truck bed. You can tell by the pic that they took their time with it and it actually looks pretty good. I thought it would be cool to share.

I sorta see it, but the pic is way too small. But, from what I can tell it looks nice.

There was a thread on these a while back. Someone saw one for sale online and was asking about it. I can't remember what it was called, though. I guess I'm no help!

I'm thinking that it is a crew cab with one of those fiberglass cab extenders fitted on it.

They were all the rage in Central Alberta where I hunted whitetail, mule deer and moose. For many years, I kept seeing those strange-looking pickups up there and I finally asked my guide about them. He said that adding the $200 fiberglass extender and having it painted to match the truck makes it cooool.

Later, my guide added one to his truck. All I could see is that it messed up the driver's four o'clock vision.

I guess COOL is in the eye of the beholder.

Hey, it made my Northern neighbors happy
