A Few Nascar Questions

I've been watching Nascar for a years, but I've never had the opportunity to actually go see a race live. I'm just wondering what everyone's favorite track is from a live viewing standpoint. Also where did you book your hotel, tickets etc through?

It's been a few years, but I have to say, Atlanta or Michigan are probably the best in my opinion. I don't remember where we stayed or how everything was arranged because my ex-wife took care of all that. Bristol is supposed to be a good track also, but tickets usually are hard to get.

Although I am somewhat biased in my opinion, I think Charlotte would be a good first time race to attend. Not only can you go to the race, most of the race teams are within a few miles of the track and are worth visiting! Also, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is here as well. There are two races here during the season, but the May race is the best because of the AllStar race the weekend before. A lot pf cool activities during race week as well.

My second choice would be the February Daytona race. Hard to beat!

Personally, I've only been to darlington and daytona, and both were awesome. I would say that Daytona was better. Both races we had tickets on the back straigtaway and loved it (most wrecks happen back there too :P )

Bristol is tops to me !!!! not a bad seat in the house and real racing rather than the super speedways were they are cruising around like on a highway with cruise control on.

Been to Daytona, Charlotte, Las Vega, Bristol and Indy. Bristol is the best of the ones I have been to. Indy was like sitting at home watching it on a tv that was in another room from the one you are sitting in. Were it not for the jumbo tron across from our seats, I would have only been able to see what was happening from turn 3 to 4. Daytona is even worse for trying to see the whole track, just too far away from any of it to see. Charlotte is good for the surrounding attractions. Vegas is like Charlotte for viewing, the attractions are entirely different though.

Bristol you can see the whole track very well. And the sound is just incredible. You cannot talk to anyone while they are racing it is so loud.

I've only been to Watkins Glen to see them race, and loved it. I love the road track racing, but I'm kinda biased because my dad used to do endurance racing on road tracks so I'm into them more than ovals.

I would thing the short tracks would be fun to watch live, Martinsville, Dover, Bristol....you know lots of action!

I agree, as we go to that car auction auction in Charlotte every year also. I forget the name of it, though.

AutoFair? If so, the fall AutoFair is this coming weekend.

The car show at Charlotte motor speedway is this weekend? Where they line all the old cars around the track and sell em'?

I went to my first race in Michigan 2 weekends ago and had a blast. I sat on turn 1 and they were decent seats. I heard that Bristol is hard to beat though and I know several people that won't go back to MIS after they have been there. I'd like to go to other tracks now that I'm hooked. The bad part about MIS is that you can't see the whole track and there wasn't a lot of activity if ya know what I mean. Still had fun though.
