Thinking About Biting The Bullet! I Had No Idea!

So my son is graduating this year and I thought I would do him the favor of buying him a truck. I figured I would buy him a nice used truck, but also thought about buying him a Colorado. Just for $h!*s and grins, I went on the Chevy.com website to look at them. I had no idea you could get one with the 5.3l. How long has this been available? I don't think I would ever own one, but when I took one out a few years back, I was burning rubber with the little 5 cylinder! I can only imagine what it does with that 5.3 in there.

I drove one, and they are a BEAST. Crewcab... very nice, but alot of money for a small truck.

i agree.... WAAAAAY to much money and no where near enough truck. the 5.3 came available in them in 2009. i want to drive one badly.... i wonder if its a toned down 5.3..

Yeah, i'm not sure I'm going to do it. I may just buy his mom a new vehicle and give him her car. She's been wanting one for a while.

I couldn't keep traction in my old 2.8L 5-spd manaul '82 S-15. Can't imagine a 5.3. Then again... with all the TM, it may hold traction better
