Push on the pin that gives you the trip odometer on the speed odometer, scroll through till you get to the oil life setting once there just hold the pin in for about 5 seconds and it will reset

I have a 2010 silverado and going to change the oil. how do i reset the oil life? I dont have the dic option on my truck.

May I suggest putting the owners manual next to the toilet so that when you are taking care of business you have some reading material that may come in handy for stuff like this. I would suggest reading up on the TPMS relearn procedure for when you rotate the tires. There is so much good stuff in there that you will never know about until you pick it up.

No that is correct for your truck not his.

Push the pin that gives you the odometer reading when it shows the oil life, hold it until it resets.

That doesn't work on the 900s? I've never tried but I was under the impression this worked for most trucks.

I suggest the OP read the owners manual as dlewis1111 said and when done put the manual back in the glove again for later reference.

You can do it either way, I'm pretty sure. On a newer one.

For those with the driver info digital display under the speedo, there's a quicker simpler way:

1 - Toggle to the low percentage oil life display.

2 - Hold in the "check-mark" reset button a few seconds.

3 - DONE! Back to 100%.
