Installed Rear Wheelhouse Liners Today

Recommended Posts

I installed the GM liners today, the driver side went in no problem but the passenger side just would not fit. There was about half an inch sticking out that would not fit inside the fender lip, I noticed a line in the plastic that looked like it was probably a trim line so I took a hacksaw to it and trimmed along the line and it fit perfect, has anyone had this happen?. I had to do this with it still on the truck because once these things go in they are really in there, I didn't bother with the screws as I don't think they are going anywhere. I left the wheels on for this and just bent them to slid into the wheelhouse. I forgot to grab a pic of the piece that stuck out but here is a finished pic, I didn't get a good full side shot because it started to pour but it makes a big difference in the look of the truck side on, looks a lot more finished now.

My rear wheel liners are on my patio as we speak. I'll definetly take a look at them to make sure they are properly cut prior to installing. Thanks for the heads up! Looks great on a red truck too BTW.

I had to trim my driver's side liner at the upper front outside edge but just enough to pop it in the rest of the way

anyone have bed liner instead of the covers in the wheel wells?

I have both bedliner and wheel well liners...both aftermarket. Didn't like stones bouncing from front to rear and the wheel liners stopped most of it. Bedliner is a great bed protector

Where do you get wheel liners? And how much would they run a guy?Looks like they really stop allot of slop from being slashed around under there?

They cost about $95, you can get them from any GM parts place or dealer or ebay, PN is 19166677 for GMC and 19166676 for Chev

Don't forget the GM super lube for the holes you will have to drill. GM apparently swears by this stuff.

the question was asked earlier, but was misunderstood i am guessing. has anybody had line-x or something similar sprayed on the inside of the wheel wells on their truck? this is common practice on many show cars, because it is lighter and stronger than undercoating, and will not fade.... i would love to have mine sprayed.
