Hello all...Just picked up my new truck on Friday. My first GMC. I've always had Ford or Chevy. It's also my first truck with a lift (6 inch Fabtech) so I'm a little nervous about that, but love the truck overall so far.

Welcome and good choice on the truck, it looks great. Also, I wouldn't be worried about the 6" lift kit either.

It is very solid. Not a spot of rust on it and a 25 year old truck with 225k kms in SW Ontario that's an impressive feat…

I love the truck, but it needs more power. I'm planning a LS swap in the future, probably a 4.8 or 5.3… Either are a power improvement over the stock 305 I have now…

I had an 89 Silverado. Had the 350 and we put 360k miles on her. She was a part of the family!
