I have been trying to get a concrete answer about this for a while ... I have emailed/posted on GM facebook, asked on the full size forum page and also asked pickuptrucks.com. Why can't you get the 6.2 in a regular cab set up ???????? It seems you can get the top dog drive train in toyota ,ram not sure about 6.2 in fords reg cab ? Anyways I own a regular cab and it serves me very well, but I would love to have that big ole 6.2 in it! So what do you guys think ? It seems stupid not to offer it in all cab and beg configuations.

Tons of reasons which you will never get a 100% concrete this is why we didnt do it.

Business related (sales, cost), government regulations (CAFE)

Has anyone put a cold air kit on the 6.2 and had any good results? Also what about these E3 Spark plugs that they swear gives you better power and more miles per gallon?

I just put on this http://store.knfilte...px?Prod=57-3058 on Thursday and after about 200 miles, I can tell a difference. The response is quicker and seems to run a lil bit better! I can't really answer about mpg because I have been punching it hard since.

But my kit is for an 08 sierra denali and I don't know if its the same as yours!

After I put mine on, I could tell better throttle response, and that noise, O that noise. Around that 3k RPM the noise of the engine sucking in air is amazing, not loud or annoying, just intoxicating. As far as MPGs, maybe a little, but not enough to make a huge difference. (see sig for mods)

I installed a 63 series K/N CAI along with Hypertech prog. both at the same time and mine really woke up and was pegging the speedometer's 120mph in no time and was lighting the tires with little effort. since then I have added wider tires (305/50/20's) and magna flow exhaust and TB spacer. I am able to hit 140mph on a straight road little wing and within 2 miles or less with the mph recorded on my navigation device I keep in my truck which is right on with my speedometer. I have not got a good 1/4 mile recorded time but it is quick IMA

Hi, Just wanted to update some info on my 2012 silverado L9H. I added the optima 34r battery and it fits with no modifications as shown. I also added the factory chevy red led light to the rear under the tail gate. It is a very close fit as you can see but it did work and looks good. I will be installing the rancho Quick lift next week and will show some before and after photos. I had the same lift on my 2011 and was very pleased with the ride and handling and the Quality of the product.

Why do I read this thread??? Every time I do it makes me want to to go to the dealer and get myself a 6.2L. But I'm kinda holding out for the new trucks. ....Maybe.... haha

Do yourself a favor and just get a current 6.2. The new trucks won't be out for another 18 months and you're probably not going to want to buy a few year or two of an all new vehicle/engine combo. I won't. I figure that my '11 should be ready for replacement just about the time that the CK2XX's are all debugged. Kind of like how my '11 currently is.
