It's obvious you are here to troll. Your stay here will be a short one.

Only if it's a forum rule to love GM. If that is the case, then fine, they can ban me. I have no interest in being part of a fanboy site where all opinions are not welcome.

Then why the hell are you even here?

Why does it upset you?

Doesn't upset me but I'm active on lots of forums and I've never felt the need to go to a forum of a brand I don't like and post about it.

I started my truck hunt a little more than a year ago favoring Ford to be honest. In the end only some minor details made the Chevy win but I'm glad I didn't go with Ford now. 5.0 Mustang owners are blowing engines with minor tunes because Ford has already tuned the motor to within an inch of it's life from the factory, the manuals in them are failing (china junk), the V6 is limited to 112 MPH and people who've taken it past that have blown drive shafts.

The EcoBoost, which I'll admit I was really interested in at the beginning has been a let down, it's fuel economy isn't much better and lots of owners have had fueling issues with it and had the truck go into limp home mode. Ford trucks are miserable to do engine work on and have been this way for like 15 years now with the engine buried under the cowl.

Ram? With it's band-aid 5 speed trans turned into a 6 speed transmission, years after everyone else got real 6-speeds? The Ram that is the LAST among the fullsizes to finally add a full suite of side airbags? I guess that single star rating in the pole test finally pushed them into action. Coil spring rear suspension might ride nice, but if you actually need to carry a load or pull a trailer forget about it. There is a reason no one else has followed Ram down that path.

So you said you have a problem/problems with GM trucks, let's hear it. I'm gonna be on the road the next few days and could use the entertainment.

Oil leak (rear main)

AFM Lifters noisy, replaced...didn't help, still noisy.

Squealing pulleys (AC and Alt, both replaced).

Noisy power steering, swapped fluid, no change, still noisy in cold weather.

Noisy headline fan, replaced. OK for now, but was told it would likely do this again.

Battery drain issue. Main fuseblock on firewall replaced.

Ball joints sloppy at 40K miles.

Leaf springs squeak, sounds like a 25 yr old beater when going up driveway berm.

Thin paint, can see primer in some areas. Dealer says GM will not fix it.

Wavy sheet metal on bed rails.

Hilarious huh?

Sell it and move on.

I love my 2004 Silverado. It has not been perfect but, it is paid for and it runs everytime I hit the key. It has 127,000 miles on it, and I think I've gotten good value out of it.

What is the payload and tow ratings for your truck?

Couldn't tell you offhand. I think towing is like 9,400 lbs. But before you go and pull out "superior" stats from another brand 2 points:

1. I didn't buy a truck configured to have the highest possible towing/payload numbers.

2. People who max out tow/payload ratings are morons. If you're pulling something that heavy, it's time to move up to the next weight class of truck.

Most of the thing's you've listed I've never read about being issues. You probably got a lemon. That happens to all brands.

For the fourth straight month, the Lordstown-built Cruze was the No. 1 small car in the country, topping No. 2 Toyota Corolla by about 5,400 vehicles."

The original post was for cars priced under $20,000.00. Obviously, one above have a delinquent schism for comprehension.

My reaction was to the idiot who NAMED the Camry as one of the cars being outsold. Perhaps you need to clean your glasses and go have another look at your post and my response gramps.

No. Not you. My sincerest appologies if you thought this was directed at any of your responses.

Yes, it was directed at the posting mentioning the Camry.

I agree...I was just asking based on the previous claim that the Ram has inferior payload and towing due to the coil-sprung rear suspension. It tows and hauls just as well as any other 1/2 ton...and rides better, especially unloaded.

And most of the issues I had are very common.

Well GM needs to get its act together and put in better cabin materials and yup date this truck.
