Will 295/70/17 or 305/70/17 fit on a 2005 Crew Cab GMC Sierra 1500?

Two wheel drive, no. Four wheel drive, maybe?????. I have a 3 inch body lift and am gonna go the 295 70 17 route next. I think I will need to do some minor trimming on the front lower bumper stuff..

285/70r17 would be a lot better off

The truck is a 4X4 Z71. It is also stock. I have 285s on there now and wanted to go up a size or two. My brother told me that I might need to turn my torsion bars up to accommodate the tires if I go bigger than 285. It sounds like I need to just stick to the 285s to be on the safe side since I do not want to change anything stock.

Hey, I run 305/40R22 for summer tires and have no problems.
