The state trooper had to get a pry bar to get my ass off the seat and dispatch a clean pair of underwear.

 

Anyways, I asked about totaling it and they said since it is new it would take a lot to total it. Now I stuck with this thing till the wheels fall off..... No pun intended. If for some miracle they do total it, the body shop manager has a 2012 white cc z71 demo that he is about to trade in and since I have a good relationship with them I'd be first in line for it.

Just talked to the body shop. So far they only have $3300 in damages....... Looks way worse

Since your in good with the body shop manager, tell him to add another zero to the damage report and you will take his demo truck. But really, glad to hear you not hurt and that the truck did hold up for you. Yea, I don't know if I would want it after that unless I really had a lot of confidence in the repairs made.

People who say they wouldn't want a collision repaired vehicle back don't understand how modern repairs done by a good shop are done. If the truck is at a good shop the truck will come through fine.

I've had them do work for me before and I've talked the body shop manager about the procedures. I feel better about it but I am a welding engineer that launches new assembly lines. So I know how critical 1mm can be and how much welding affects dimensions. But I am still confidient in the shop and can't wait to get out of this little chevy cruze. I might have to buy it (my truck) a present to make it feel better. Maybe some wheels or an exhaust.

Get the truck back tonight! Can't wait, I'm tired of driving this Cruze around. I had them throw in a remote start while is was there, I've gone long enough. I post pictures of before and after.
