The lady that had to count twice wasn't very happy, plus she had to count it in front of me, how uncomfortable that must have been. It took her 10 minutes, thank GOD they were all $100 bills and not twenties I'd still be there yawning to sleep.

Dealers now a days don't really want folks bringing in cash. Cash sales are not what they once were. That's what I've gathered, at least.

Thanks for the well wishes on the job hunt. I know something good is going to happen sooner or later, I just need to keep doing my part. I'm betting I can get the credit union to allow me to miss a payment or two so we'll see. Diesels hold onto their value fairly well vs the gassers, so having been upside down for awhile, I figured I'd be keeping my truck for a few years and get the chance to get from being upside down (which started way back when) but hey, if it gets repossessed, so be it. I still have a roof over my head and maybe means of some alternative transportation.. yeah my credit will suck forever, but it's only credit.. oh the messes we get ourselves into sometimes.

Credit will be bad for 10 years - after that you get to start over. The slate gets wiped clean, no matter how bad it was.

Pretty sure it's like this across the country, not just in MA .. but check on that first.

My truck has been a workbench for the past 4 weeks ...

Set an appointment to get my exhaust done. All that'll change is from the muffler back. Essentially like this, only just one.

I don't like how the stock pipe exhaust drafts behind the rear wheel and holds dust, and the straight back exhaust on my old pickup drafted behind the tailgate and echoed off trailers. This should avoid both of those issues, and also tuck it up where it can't get smashed.

I like that, looks clean too.

If you tow you may get some extra noise with the exhaust straight out the rear. My V-Max was really loud that way while towing so I relocated to a side exit to make it sound normal with a loaded trailer.

Yesterday I did an oil change, rotated tires, swapped out my summer air for winter air (filled tires to 35psi) and installed the Borla direct replacement muffler. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty disappointed in the volume of it, considering its supposed to be the sport model. I thought I'd be able to hear it over my Volant intake but I cold started the truck this morning and I'm pretty sure it's quieter than stock, with a nice rumble to it though. I think next step is to cut out the resonator. If that doesn't do it then I'll take it off and sell it and get some sort of cat back exhaust. Here's a few pics

Hunting all day today and plan on loosening my helper springs up tomorrow, the ride is nice and firm right now but it can be uncomfortable. Hopefully loosening them up will still yield the same effect for helping out on the load but make the suspension a little softer, and maybe not creak, that'd be nice

Might take a few thousand miles to break in. Mine was pretty quiet when new. Now has about 84k on it - barks pretty good with my foot in it.

Mine come straight out the back. If I have to drive anywhere with the tailgate down, it'll fog it up with condensation this time of year. Other than that, works & sounds fine, towing or not. Corsa touring cat back. After 9 years, the clamp hardware have turned into stalactites, but it's all still holding together. Would have to snap the bolts off in order to remove it, though. You'd think they'd use stainless EVERYTHING on a stainless system ...

Doesn't look this pretty anymore, but you get the idea:

That's the reasoning for tucking it, it may end up to the side a little too.
