Can't buy one because I have no money. Having this transmission rebuilt is going to wipe out what I have. Nothing but ramen for the next 2 weeks. Don't have the luxury of 2 vehicles

I know I haven't been around in a while, what happened to the Ford?

How's the K2? Better than your 900?

I think each truck has been better than the last. I will say that if I had a way to know that my dad was going to pass and I'd have his Lesabre to drive, I would've kept my '99. That truck was solid. Looking back now, I prefer the looks of it vs. the '08, but the '08 had more creature comforts than the '99, and the '99 was an extended cab vs. a crew for the '08. Now the '16 is a gem. Way more bells and whistles than I needed despite being a middle of the road model. She gets great mileage(5.3 vs. the 6.0 I had in the '08), rides great, looks great, and is a joy to drive. The wife's ride turns 5 in another few weeks and only has 36k on it, so I've been trying to take that to work as much as I can and keep the truck in the garage at least on rainy days.

Did a bunch of clusters today, when it rains it pours. One guy was a real A$$ too, the type of guy that makes you want to quit. Then did 2 more for humans and I feel much better now. Was about to call it a day when an other guy called.

This is a cluster I did when I first started doing this 5 years ago. I had replaced burnt bulbs and repaired the PRND321 display back then. Today I replaced all the stepper motors and bulbs with LEDs. I was sad to hear the previous owner had passed. He left his truck to his son in law.

Also saw in the obituaries the owner of the first cluster I ever fixed also passed, he was 83. He owned a 2004 Impala.

I miss the seats in my gmt800. Liking my 900 but it's getting time for a new one. 2019 can't get here soon enough. I want a CC std bed. Short bed is limiting room especially now with baseball season. Don't want to spend money on a cover or cap so I added a job site box for now.

Today somebody gave me an HVAC control unit out of an 04 Sierra W/T. Of course I took it apart and changed the bulbs, they were all burnt but 2. Replaced them with white LEDs. I think it looks good, you be the judge. It doesn't have the rear defog button like most higher end trucks.

That's what I was thinking, but you never know anymore ....

I've done uppers on my truck. It's easiest to just replace the entire control arm for those, the lowers I would just press out. All in all, a very easy job to me
