Finally brought it home after 2+ weeks in the shop. Feels good to be driving a truck again. Also went and picked up the frame stop/bumpers for the front end since those are disintegrating, not a huge deal but I know they're there so I'm going to replace them. Maybe tonight if it cools down enough. Need to check the air pressure in the tires and probably clean the windows before I leave in the morning.

Yay part prices...

lol I don't know if I was satisfied. I was quite the ahole insisting that I wanted a truck and they kept telling me they didn't have one as a loaner. The service people have been taking care of us for years so they try pretty hard to keep me at least complacent. I guess the tech even ended up staying late on a Friday night to mostly finish up my truck so I could get it back yesterday.

Replaced the suspension/frame stops last night when I got home. On the rear I have feet between the frame and the stops, on the front they touch just sitting there. Isn't there supposed to be open air?

Finally got a replacement bulb from Morimoto to finish up my headlight upgrades. I'll have to take pics sometime this week when it's dark out, need to adjust the headlights too. Low beams are Morimoto HID 35w 5500k, high beams are LMZ LED 35w 5000k, fogs are just some bulbs off of Amazon that had good reviews lol

I must say these new trucks have terrible bumpers. I jack knifed my trailer yesterday to turn around and I ever so slightly bumped the trailer to where the bumper step is and bent the bumper down and in towards the truck, thus causing the middle of the bumper to buckle outwards. I tried to use a ratchet strap to pull it back out, got it to come along a little bit but this is the second time I've had this happen. Crappy tin can sheet metal

Man, I do not want to ever have your luck when it comes to trucks.

The jounce bumpers on front are usually in contact

Drove her to work and a CEL popped up, hopefully it clears itself like it has done in other recent times.

Got home from work and went for a run. Then instead of being lazy I was productive and power washed the quad from riding the other weekend and then decided to finally break out the foam cannon I got months ago when the truck was in the body shop. Didn't do too bad for a 10 min job, obviously nothing like a hand wash would do as far as bugs and grime on the front (I drive to work in the early AM, so I catch a lot of bugs with my front end lol)

From what I know the foam wash is supposed to break down the dirt and grime, then you still need to wash by hand to get it off, followed by a rinse.

Did you tell it to knock it off?

It was still present at start up this afternoon but the CEL cleared itself on the drive home today. What a relief.

I drove through very heavy rain on Thursday and maybe the MAF got wet? It has happened before after a car wash with high pressure or volume of water.

Could be anything on these things today. Main reason I NEVER wash my engine or compartment. I'll never dare. Don't need the headaches.

Speaking of headaches ... did plugs and wires on a '02 Nissan Frontier, 3.3 supercharged. NIGHTMARE from hell! Welcome to the 21st century. 8 hour plug job, wtf.

All this for friggin SPARK PLUGS. :banghead:

Also fixed some idle issues it was having. The TPS on this thing has a dual function of a TPS, and an idle control. Thing looks brand new, but whoever installed it BUTCHERED the 4mm screws. Luckily I happened to have a whole box of hex head bolts in the same thread pitch. Miracles never cease. Used the new Autel to perform an idle relearn. Running great now.

Not impressed with the power output of this thing being supercharged and all. Felt pretty weak to me.

By high pressure I'm actually referring to the Costco drive through that managed to get water into the intake, I wasn't expecting it since I've never had it happen elsewhere. Needless to say I never returned.
