Wasps!!!!

I have a wasp problem. They've nested in a crack in the siding above my garage, and they are vicious. It used to be dirt dobbers that lived in there, and then suddenly wasps moved in and they chase me everywhere whenever I go near the area. There are only 3 wasps that I've observed there, but they're always waiting to come ram into me. I've emptied an entire can of Hot Shot on the nest (and directly on the wasps themselves) within the last 3 days and it hasn't phased them. They fall to the ground, and then they're up and flying at me within just a few seconds. I called exterminators and they won't get rid of just the one nest, they want to do a full-house treatment which starts at $400 and goes up depending on the situation. I can't afford that and I'm all out of ideas except for napalm but I'm not too sure that I want flaming wasps flying at me either. Does anyone have any ideas as to get rid of these things?

Try using brake cleaner from a spray can. That's the best thing I've used in Texas and kills them quicker than wasp spray. Good luck!

I'll second that. I found out by accident. Had a bunch of nests in my garage and brake cleaner was the closest thing I had. Sprayed them and they all died QUICK! That reminds me I need more brake cleaner...

Not to mention it sprays nearly a mile and has plenty of force behind it!

Dish soap mixed with water works wonders. Put some Dawn dish soap in a sprayer or one of the super soaker water guns, add water, pressurize it, and spray them from a distance. The soapy water makes it hard for them to fly away. The wasps also breathe through their bodies...when the soapy water gets on their body, it enters their breathing passages and pretty much smothers them. The ones that don't die from the soapy water, will fall to the ground, where you can stomp on them to kill them. Once they are dead, knock the nest down so more do not return.

I just got stung by 2 wasps. Within a day, my leg got infected and swelled up twice as big as the other. Hurt to walk on it. Had to go to doctor and get some medicine. Back to normal now but man I hate wasps. :(

Dadburn wasps. Got hit by one a few weeks ago while repairing hoses on my grill that the dadburn squirrels had chewed through.

Back when I worked for the dealership a Crown Vic on our lot somehow ended up with a nest in it and a work order was written for one of us to deal with it. I wouldn't touch it, **** that. I was there to fix cars not play exterminator.
