Mine had a chip as well, a lot of good that did me. Like you said, all it has done is make paying for something in store a longer process.

The chip? That's another case of "stupid Americans". The system was Introduced and adopted overseas as "Chip & PIN" you could steal the chip ID remotely, you could spy on or record the user entering their pin, but unless you had BOTH, either was useless. It supposedly vastly cut down on CC theft.

So, of course in the good ol' USA they figure people couldn't be bothered putting their card in AND entering a PIN, so this new system is just bullcrap. It's just like the mag strip, except it's even easier to steal since you don't even have to touch it to get the data.

My understanding is that the point of the chip is it creates a one time code each time it's used. This is supposed to prevent hackers from being able to use the cards if they hack a store's system (like the Target deal). Obviously if someone gets their hands on the card they can use it online or whatever just like you do.

Picked my kids up from their first time spent at a child care/daycare place(they are 4). their only complaint was the "teacher" made them sit and watch the other kids eat snacks. (they are only there 1.5 hours a day, so I'm guessing the other kids depend on getting a snack

Odd moment today. Wife comes home gets a phone call she finishes I was like who was that. Another lady from work, she was in an accident over the weekend. She called my wife to ask for car/vehicle advice. WTF. Best thing is my wife goes does my van have all wheel drive lol [emoji23]

Finished up my Sig P320 mods tonight. FDE frame, apex trigger, TruGlo TFO night sights, Streamlight TLR-1 flashlight, and a 17 round mag with the xgrip filler piece. Also did a colorfill on the slide, matches pretty good I'd have to say

It's in the truck. There are a couple things I'm not entirely happy about. Speedo reads 2 mph high and rpms read about 300 high

Whats up with that? Didn't get the needles back on correctly?

Take the clear plastic off, pull up the RPM and MPH on the scan guage, then drive as fast and high rpm as possible to get the most accurate setting.

I'll get used to it eventually. May keep me from getting another 80 in a 65

The needle for my RPM gauge doesn't exactly line up with the hole in the face either. It's only noticeable at night though when you look at it from an angle and see the light.

Found my 1099G form for unemployment online, and entered it into Turbotax. Unless I get the tax credit for being a student (which I don't see happening since I'm not paying for it) I'll only get $81 back in federal. So there goes my plans to fix the rust on the cab of my truck, at least for now anyway.
