We used to have a BBM group for people from here to chat and it was pretty cool, however the guy that started it left the group along with the passwords. lol So I've started a new one to see how much interest there is in it.

Just scan the barcode below and you should be able to join.

They still make blackberrys?

Yep, I have one for work. Its how I function (email, meeting notices, etc)

From what I have heard the new ones have one of the best (virtual?) keyboarding experience out there. I have a much older one for work. It is still working after 5+ years. Still on its original battery. Battery will last 4-6 days, depending on number of calls.

Before I am stoned by the Apple fans, I dislike all smart phones equally. :)

I find it interesting that there is a general positive feedback about blackberry here. I had a contract on a blackberry, during which time I had 2 curve's, both of which started experiencing major issues at 30 days (aprx) so when the 2 year renewal notice came, I flew into the shop and got my new iphone. it works very well, and I have had no issues. that being said, I've never owned a z10, and all my friends who have seem to like them. hopefully things pick up, for a bit there it was seeming blackberry was down the toilet so to speak.

My previous blackberry had issues. After a yr the phone wouldn't hold a charge, bought a new battery still had the issue so I just ordered a new phone (company paid). So far the new curve I have is fine

Played around with my buddies Z10 and I agree, Very nice feeling, fast and impressive smartphone. I own a Mac, so my iPhone and computers all kind of have a synergy (iCloud)...

I've had the same Curve for about 4 years with not issues and original battery that still holds a great charge. I've tried the Iphone, Android and new Z10 and I by far prefer the Z10 keyboard. That being said I still think I prefer the physical keyboard and I'm seriously considering a new Q10.

I had the newest BB's for years and they they were all horrible, slow, bad batteries, awful cameras, screens picture wasnt good. then I got an iphone and all of those problems went away

The iPhone 5 is probably the best built phone on the market (al case, etc.). If you put your hands on a Z10, though, your BB opinion will change instantly. You won't change brands for it, but for a new buyer like me... it's tempting, since the OS and keyboard experience is better than iOS (for me). The fact that it has a replaceable battery and a uSD slot makes it worth considering. A standard uUSB charger is also preferred over that stupid Apple plug. That one "feature" is enough to make me consider other phones.

As much as I prefer Android overall, I'm pretty sure that I'd take the Z10 over any of the current Android devices. I'm looking now, and it's coming down to the Z10, iPhone 5, or skipping the data phone thing altogether and picking up a Nexus 7 w/ HSPA+.

That's because the newest BBs the past few years were uncompetitive. These new ones do look promising. I played with a display model when I was in Saudi in March (they got it before us somehow?). Seemed nice.
