$2,500 for only 2.5" of lift?! If you are gonna spend that then go the extra step and just get a BDS coil over 6"

Not trying to be rude or anything but good luck trying to find someone who dropped that much cash for only 2.5"

I don't see that as rude at all. But just because someone has a 2.5" lift doesn't mean they couldn't afford a 6" lift. Not everyone has the same priorities.

What if one has no interest in a 6" lift and finds them absolutely ridiculous? And what if that same person finds a 60$ spacer and bigger blocks to be a shitty way to lift a truck?

I'd say everyone is entitled to their own opinions and preferences. If someone has 2500$ to spend on a 2.5" lift, then all the power to them. It will be properly lifted, ride well and look awesome IMO.

I bet that would ride awesome, go for it! I have the Fox Coilovers and 2.0 shocks on my 2014 with my 6" BDS lift and it rides great. Far better ride than stock and when I go offroad or through a field my suspension just eats up the bumps. People will bust your balls and say your a fool with money because you spent $2,500 for a 2.5" lift. But those same people are probably the guys who are installing $1,000 7.5" lift kits and will be spending hundreds or a couple thousand in a year or two replacing parts. While your truck will have the same mileage and your parts will have average wear and tear. People gave me a hard time when they saw my 4" lift kit on my 2012 AWD Denali was $3,500. But I can tell you that truck drove just as smooth as stock with bigger tires and I never had a single issue with the AWD system. Guys who were installing cheap lifts were blowing up transfer cases all day long. At the end of the day I'm all for doing it right the first time even if it means I have a save few bucks and add some time before I can get it done.

Yeah, if you want the best ride and handling you're going to have to spend money on shocks, whether it's for 2.5" or 6". Personally if I had to get somewhere fast over rough terrain, I'd choose a truck with a kit like the above any day over a 6" lift that uses cheap shocks (or re-uses stock) and actually has less suspension travel.

I guess ultimately I am looking to make the truck look perfect in my eyes. That to me is a perfect balance of every component. I want everything to look proportionate.

I think something like this is what looks best to me. I feel this level of lift, tires, rims, etc are what fit the truck best for function and looks/styling of the truck.

To achieve that goal, 2500$ is steep but it's the cost of doing it right in my eyes. Again, I just don't like the look of huge lifts. No offense to those who do (this whole thread lol)

Call me crazy, but couldn't you achieve this same look with a leveling kit? Don't get me wrong, the Camburg "lifted" truck shown in the photo looks great, but it just looks like a truck with a leveling kit on it, not a lift. I could never justify that expense, even with the money to burn. Do you NOT like the way these trucks look with a proper leveling kit on them? They're still beasts, and with that extra $2000 you save, you could go out and buy some wheels! I know, I know, it's your call, your money, etc...I'm just sayin'

I don't want to level my truck, I want to lift it. I see no point in leveling, for myself.

Just my preference.

if I level it, then anytime I want to use it as a truck, it'll be dragging ass. Towing, hauling my atv around, etc. I want the functionality, ride and comfort of a proper lift and I still want it to look like a truck while I do work with it.

Again, I honestly have no issues with anyone who wants to do it differently. Whatever works for you is all that matters.

Sounds like a 4" bds lift would be perfect for you. Check out this thread

That's certainly true. If all one cares about is looks, buying expensive shocks and aftermarket upper arms is a waste of money. You spend that money if you want a suspension that actually works better.

Couldn't have said this any better.

Why isn't anyone posting prices on how much they paid for their kit and or how much it cost to install.

I think it should be a standard from now on, just sayin :driving:

I payed 1900 for my 6" Fabtech installed. This was what my truck looked like all those months ago back in October ;)

So the 6in fab tech allows owners to utilize our stock 20s I would really like to keep my sey 20s with a6in lift I hear rumors and no especially from fab tech others state their website clears states we cannot use our stock 20s yet I have seen like 2-3 owners with them . Just wondering if they used sapacers,do they rub, major or minor trimming ?? Because I would like a 6in lift on my truck but don't want to have to spend the extra cash on rims and tires

I had to use spacers. Put over 10k miles on this lift so far with them and not a single problem. I don't think it's that big of a deal.

BDS will allow you to use stock 20's with their 6" lift and the 4" too. I have had extensive conversation with them about it because I want to use 35's as well, but haven't decided on the 6" or 4" yet.
