Well i got my rough country 3.5" installed this weekend. I added the spacer on top of the strut up front and the upper control arms that came with the kit, and then added the block and rough country shocks in the back. I didnt use the little 1/2" spacer that goes under the springs up front because i didnt feel that 1/2" was worth the effort of dissassembling the entire strut.

This pic is on level ground with only the front spacer/control arm done. here the front was 1 1/4" higher than the rear.

this is one on unlevel ground(front is downhill from the rear) with the front done, and the reat blocks and shocks just before i got the alignment done.

Anyone ever had an issue with the one side of the truck being like an inch higher than the other after installing a lift? My right side is 1 full inch higher on the right side than it is on the left. The rought country tech rep guy has no idea what would cause that and apparently has never heard of it.

This looks good how do you like it? Do you have a link to the kit you bought?

So this is exactly what I'm looking for; and I also want to keep my factory wheels 20 inch LTZ wheels.

I like how your track width doesn't seem to stick out real bad. But I'm confused, I thought these lifts made the track width stick out?

Yes, 1.5" per side

Also with this lift do you have to use any wheel spacers to keep the factory wheels?

It depends on your control arms

How does it ride compared to stock?

I already feel my truck rides a little stiff with the stock suspension, will this lift make it more stuff, softer, or the same?

I'd say slightly better

Does this lift provide good CV and other suspension angles?

Yes

Does it have more, less, or same amount of suspension travel?

Same

Thanks, I know that's a lot of questions, I'm just a little overwhelmed with all the lift choices, and I want to be happy with it when it's done, and from your pictures I really love how yours turned out. Thanks.

Update...

Interesting development...

Apparently their was a component from a 6" kit that was shipped with my 4" BDS that halted the installation of the kit.

All has been sorted out and the part was overnighted yesterday. So i should have it tonight if they stay late to finish.

I wonder what kinda tequila the mechanics drink....

Well they wont get to it till tomorrow now.

Blame the fires we are having right now in the panhandle of Texas and thats where the shop is.

2 of 3 boxes were delivered. But tires and wheel spacers for the rear arrived without a hitch, tires are mounted and roadforce balanced, rear is done and most of the front is done. Just need those spacers or whatever they are that was sent for the 6" instead of the 4"

Couldn't justify $1500 for coilovers that i have no use for other then looks.

Yes i do have the 20s and i only like for it to stick out a little bit not like half the tire.

I'm debating the coilovers. They are expensive and I'll never see off road. Might be better getting some 5100s instead.

Do you think it be possible to use spacers and keep my stock 18s OEM. I do like the wheels.

Is readylift or skyjacker good brands. I was looking at RCX but everyone seems to hate them lol

I had the same train if thought. But i will upgrade just for the look eventually.

I would say no u cant run the stock 18s. Something about clearance, but I'm not sure if you can use spacers to allow for the 18s. Maybe chat with BDS about it.

Yes, that would be correct. Spend a couple hundred extra bucks and get a lift kit from Zone. For $1400 it's money well spent over the previously 3 already mentioned.

Skyjacker makes a pretty good 4 and 6 inch knuckle lift. Rough country has a decent knuckle and bracket lifts. The 4 inch readylift is a stretched out leveling kit so not too good. Readylift does make a 6.5 bracket lift that looks good. I've had a 4 inch skyjacker on my truck for almost 3 years with no problems.

As long as you stay away from stretched out leveling kits (ready lift 4, rough country 3.5) you'll be ok. Rough country, zone, pro comp, skyjacker and bds all have good stuff. Pick the one that best fits your needs and tire size your looking for. A strut spacer lift will ride pretty close to stock and if you spend more money on a coilover set up it will ride even better.

Thanks guys. I'm just looking to run 20x10 on 33s. I might even just do a 2.25 or 2.5 level.
