I wonder how did people ever live with bench vinyl seat in trucks with no A/C or any power accessories in the 1950's and 1960's?

Lol, drove one to high school and college. My Dad's 1967 Chevy C10 with a green vinyl bench seat and a built 454, AM radio only with a single speaker in the middle of the dash.

i've never had the ventilated seats in a vehicle, truck i just bought doesn't have them either. I've talked to a friend that has air conditioned seats in a tahoe and she doesn't like it. Says the little holes is a dirt/debris catcher. I couldn't argue with her since she was the one that had it and i didn;t but it doesn't seem like those little holes would be a problem for trash. granted she has kids so i'm sure that was an issue too, but she said she would never have another with the cooled seats.

with remote start i don't see leather being that big of deal not cooled as it was before the remote start availability. But like anything else it all comes down to preference and what you like.

So, ventilated seats are not an option with the A/T package, can i still get heated leather seats with the A/T package??

I found out The leather SLT NON-cooled seats are NOT perforated. Bummer. Dang my '04 Acura, that is ten yrs ago, has perforated leather.

In my opinion perforated leather is only good for two things...

1. A dirt magnet

2. Beginnings of a tear in the seat

'04 TSX Acura with perforated leather A-OK after 10 yrs. Perforated is cooler. If it goes bad, good reason to go after market and get the good stuff.

I use this about every3-6 months:

I got an 02 grand prix and it's perforated leather is mint still. It's better leather and breathes. I use a leather cleaner conditioner.

Thanks for the links. I'll try those. However, they won't be on perforated leather. I ordered mine with heated seats only. I didn't want the a/c seats for several reasons and the perforated seats was one of them. I just don't like them. I had them in one of my old cars and all they did was collect dirt and ultimately rip. Now I have a dog that I take with me sometimes which would only make that situation much worse in my opinion.

I found a picture. Look about half way up the back of the seat and you'll see the exhaust vents right where your knees would go... a2uqajah.jpg Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I have them in my new 2014 Siverado LTZ with BLACK Leather Seats. I live in Houston, TX and it is over 100 degrees right now. I have never had them before and will NEVER buy a new car without them. I LOVE THEM!! The vents ARE behind the seats but, you do not feel them unless you are the lucky one sitting in the middle as the vents do not point straight back they are angled outward. As far as the noise, you can hear the fan if you have the seats on HIGH! Just turn the radio up and problem solved!! The neat thing about this is that you can program it in the Settings of the MyLink to turn on automatically when you remote start the truck. You can do the same for the heater and it will automatically change as the seasons change and it gets warmer to "know" if the heater or the AC should turn on.
