Has anyone actually experienced the heat into the backseat or are conclusions being made based on the look?

I have them in my Z71 LTZ and my friends in the back don't even feel the warm air from the vents in the back. Mine doesn't blow the warm air out hard. I don't see why people are complaining so much about this yes it does put out some but it's not like the heater is on or anything

I don't think this is a valid complaint, but not having A/C vents in the back is. With the effort they put into these new trucks I can't believe they cheaped out on that part. Still, I just think back to when I was a kid, vinyl bench seats, no A/C, lap belts only, big shiny metal dashboards to slam your face into if you wreck.

The lack of rear A/C vents is a bit disturbing. It does get hot here in Houston.

^ This.

My dealer and others had pushed GM for r seat vents. They were upset about no go on them.

I do not want the cooled seats BUT it is the only way, "My way or the highway GM", will allow perforated leather. So perforated leather is a $1,000 option. Test drove a black trk, afternoon...98 degrees..60 dew pt. Had the cooling turned off and was just fine with just the perforated leather.

I think one needs to be more concerned about the new engine and if they got the TCM programmed so you do not have to tune just to make the trk drivable.

Lol, drove one to high school and college. My Dad's 1967 Chevy C10 with a green vinyl bench seat and a built 454, AM radio only with a single speaker in the middle of the dash.

Worth it cause those were the best looking trucks GM ever made. :)

Problem is these trucks are designed by Yankees up north that are clueless about customer's climate control needs in hot climates. GM does the testing up north and calls it good enough. I am just glad the trucks don't overheat in traffic.

Yeah, GM doesn't do hot weather testing. Riiiiiiiight.
