Almost forgot to post up some info I found out... Nothing new per se, but just some confirmation on the 35's and level.

-2" BDS front level

-35x12.50's MT ATZ's

-20x9's Dick Cepek Torques

-5.75" Backsapacing (~+19)

 

Info from emails with tech department:

 

Thank you for choosing BDS Suspension Systems. The BDS 2” lift can use a 35X12.50 on a 20X9 wheel with 5.75” total backspacing and some fender, and bumper modification. The tire would interfere with the inner fender, and front bumper plastic. Any tire can fit enough modification to the bumper and fenders. Please let me know if you need anything else.

 

I asked for more clarification on full lock and "modification"

 

I do not believe there was any contact to the sway bar during full lock turns, but the inner fender liner does need to be trimmed.

 

Hopefully this helps someone out

Does anyone know if I could run 295/70r17 tires on a 17x8.5" wheel with 0mm offset? I have a 2" level. A guy on GMFS is running that with a slightly different offset and says he does not rub. I just find it hard to believe.

That is a great comparison and perspective T-Town. The problem is the wheel offset 0 vs the stock +24. The outer corner of the tire, when turned, is what hits my mud flap. I don't doubt 34s on a stock offset wheels clear all day long. If I had the same tire on my stock rims it would not come close to hitting. Have to really think about the offset when looking at aftermarket wheels.

The stock 18s on my Z71 offroad package are +24. It's stamped on the inside of the rim. I can take a pix when I get home. 2013s and older are +31 but the 14s are different, at least my wheels are and I've seen other posted pictures of the stamp on the inside of the wheel that says +24.

After all the issues posted about premature balljoint wearout on the upper control arms from leveling, I ordered some upper control arms from Rough Country with adjusted angles in the ball joints and with replaceable Moog balljoints. I'll put them on when I put some of the new Bilsteins on. $265 to my door.

 

I didn't want to go with an open, dry, uni-ball, off-road type joint. I just don't think they'll go as long as a regular automotive balljoint.

Yes no rear blocks, and it sits level. 295s have no rub even at full lock. MT'S are a little noisy so expect that but the look is killer! So far I have lost a good 3 mpgs with the MT tires. Do u think if I get 295 55 20 on mine with just the rough country 2" leveling kit will rub. I have that kit now with 305 50 20 no rub. +18 offset

Yes it rubs at full turn. It rubs the upper control arm and just touches the carpeted liners. About the only time I have had it rub is trying to make a u-turn.

Should be a 20x9 +14 offset

Just measured the front and rear. Front sits 39 and 1/2 back is just under 40 inches. After driving a good 600 mile the truck settle down some.

Just got my 2014 silverado 1500 LT. Sorry for the noob question, but I want to order the RC 2" level kit. Is it obvious which strut I have, Aluminum or Steel? I have never done one before
