Haven't done anything yet. We are hunting for a car trailer for a decent price

Vibrated the arm(s) from the handle to the release(s) on each side? I had that happen once. Could not see anything wrong with the plastic piece they slip into so put em' back added some baling wire, they never came free again.

Did you ever confirm this was the issue, did you already fix it??? If not, did you find the parts? If not, let me know - PM me, I have a couple left from my 2002, I no longer need.

We started drilling out the pinch welds of the new clip but havent had the time to do much else with it yet

Its chillin in the garage. It needs to be pulled out. Maybe after my move ill have more time to dick around with it
