BAK FLIP F1

I got the BakFlip G2 and was wondering where you guys put your weather stripping on the front of the bed... Do you attach it so the rubber strip on the cover matches up with the weather stripping or further back so the plastic piece of the cover hits it? Any pics would be appreciated.

I will be getting a Bak Flip Fiber Max tomorrow. I previously owned a Bak Flip G2 and fold a cover. I liked them both.

I put at the rear of the bed rail so the metal frame of the cover compresses it. When you tighten down the cover it compresses the rubber strip nicely. I've been through a car wash and there's no water intrusion anywhere on the cover so I guess it's working.

Anyone install a BAKflip on the crew cab short box yet? I installed the F1 and in the fully open position it definitely covers the 3rd brake light. Anyone else have this issue? I emailed BAK customer support today. The model number and description are all correct for this truck.

My rails lined up the fine, but I had the same issue instlling the bolts upfront. The holes were too close together on the top by about 3/16th. I finally got them in, but it took some effort.

Same issue here. Bolts were off, had to squeeze bolts in by prying.

I'm going with the Fold A Cover if I get one. I just don't like the idea of it leaning up against cab plus blocking view out the back.

That's why I went with the Fold-A-Cover. Folded up it gives you 75% of the top, or in 5 mins you can take the whole thing off. The only other one I seriously considered was the Extang Encore.

Went with an F1 for the truck. I was able to get it for $785 shipped, which is a heck of a deal. I have just heard some poor quality issues about the undercover flex, although it looks the same essentially.

I am assuming you have a short bed from the location of the wheel well in the picture? I asked the guys I bought it from about this issue and they said this is not an issue anymore? Not sure I believe that 100% and will let you know when I get mine.

I had a BakFlip F1 on my truck about a year. I had a problem which required replacement of the cover. I called BakFlip and I sent them pictures. After some conversation they agreed to replace the cover. They shipped a brand new cover out an ZERO COST to me.

It's hard to find a company that stands behind their products. But BakFlip does.

Yes it is the short bed. I love the cover anyway I don't expect to use it in this position very often. I never heard back from BAK so I will call them eventually.

My Fibermax rests just below the third brakelight on my crew cab shortbox. Do you have any room to maybe adjust the way the cover is on the truck? Maybe pull it back more?

I slid it all the way back where it is almost hitting the tailgate. I emailed this picture to their customer support but never got a response. Just haven't found the time to call them about it.
