I would need to get a private offer from GMC site correct? My laptop isn't connected to a printer so how does that work if it pops up for me?

You could save it when it pops up and just email it to your salesmen when you go for the deal. I emailed my supplier discount code when I bought my truck. They didn't need it printed off.

2014 GMC SLT Double Cab

All Terrain w/ no other major options

MSRP: 53.7k

OTD inc TTL: 44.9k

Ive never seen a double cab for that much first off and second your taxes but be low cause ive never seen an almost $9k OTD that included taxes. I hit $9.5k off msrp but adding my taxes got me to $8.5k. That is impressive cause I got about close to max as anyone should without GM losing money.

but once I added extended warranty 3 years of on star and taxes and title fees it was about 41K . most expensive vehicle I ever purchased I went all out and I have no regrets I love the thing

He's in Canada, pricing is higher there.

Your taxes seem awfully low too. Only $1000 in taxes? I paid over $2700 in taxes on my truck, MI 6% sales tax.

Is that what your dealer told you? That they were close to losing money since you got such a good deal?!? LOL

Gotta love how some of these guys act like you are taking food directly out of the mouths of their children, during negotiations.

Nobody is losing money selling these trucks for $9K off MSRP.

I'd say I got a pretty good deal. 2014 sle 4x4 I'm guessing about ever option on an sle. 20" rims, Nav, trailer brakes, leather, bed liner, chrome tip, underseat storage, leveling kit.

Also lifetime oil changes from dealership.

Msrp 48,330

Sale price 35,180

I actually know the general manager well, it's laura pricing and that is pretty much about as much as your going to get on a current year truck. And yes my taxes are only 2.5%. He took off another $500 since we talked as well as adding a $500 gas gift card. He only charged me $500 to install the leveling kit and an upgrade to the 34" terra grapplers as well as changing out the denali chrome rims and put in the AT stock rims. Threw in the spray lining included.

Pricing is indeed higher here. The starting price for a double cab 4wd SLT is 49.7k. One can easily push it to high 50's and beyond. I'm pretty sure the dealer had it sitting around for a few months, when spending that much money it seems people are more interested in a crew cab.

I call BS randall27

I'm not calling BS yet, but I'd sure like to see some paperwork to back that up. I posted a scan of my incentive roundup sheet way back in this thread, when I posted my deal. I need to see the same from randall27 to back up a claim of a $13K+ discount off MSRP.

I've said earlier, I have no idea what the dealers actually pay for these trucks, but I know they aren't losing any money selling them for $9K-$10K-$11k off, despite what they want you to believe. GM is making more $$ per truck than either Ford or Dodge, which means there is quite a significant markup in these trucks is is also why these trucks have been huge money makers for the big 3.

randall27, care to post any scans of your paperwork showing how you came to get over $13K off your truck? If the claim is true, I'm sure lots here would like to know how you did it.

This is how it went. Already been to this dealership looking at trucks, also went to everyone in my area pricing them. I showed up and found this truck it had add ons from the dealer of 22" chrome rims, toyo mts, running boards, underseat storage, paid for the Bedliner but wasn't installed yet by the people that install them, chrome tip and leveling kit installed. I jus told the lady look I'm tired of looking for a vehicle take the rims, tires and running boards off cause I don't want them and give me the best price you can! With all the add ons they were advertising 10k off and then they put the rebate off 4,150 and gave me the offer. I didn't hesitate and bought it, after I said yes and they started the paperwork she came back and said he made a mistake but they weren't going to change the price jus begged me to finance threw one of there lenders. I had already went to my bank and got a great interest rate and told them if they could beat it I would and they did.zuga7yny.jpgygu3y4u3.jpg

Just confirms what I have been saying for months... Despite the typical sob story you will get from a dealer, they aren't losing any money on these trucks selling them at $10K off sticker.... And I can guarantee they would just LOVE to sell them for just $8K or $9K off. They will make those sales all day every day.

    • Just did an injector/HPFP replacement on Pepper at 192,400 miles; close enough to 200K, RIGHT? (If 200K is considered life end and to me it isn't). But hey, to each his own.    Have never run a catch can on this vehicle. Back side of every valve looked like a new valve spray painted semigloss black. Port walls looked 'neat' (all a normal result of passive EGR via VVT) Zero build up even in AFM cylinders. Just color. It uses no measurable oil and never has.    At 155,000 I put her on E-85 and a borescope of the cylinders at plug change showed very clean pistons and valve faces. The replaced injector tips looked new. (It was the pump piston seal that was leaking). Oh well, have six good backups.    Still gets 28 mpg on gas (highway average) and over 20 (highway) on alky. UOA's look good and runs as good now as it did when I bought it. Better in fact.    What improvement would a Catch Can provide this motor?     And given all this I expect that IF I installed one I'd see some water/gas/oil vapor accumulation. Byproducts of normal combustion.   Having said that, IF my motor used an appreciable amount of oil I'd consider it a useful 'crutch' until I had the situation corrected OR if bore polished, until I junked it or rebuilt it to stave off repeated plug fouling.    I'm not telling you what I THINK. But what its DONE.
    • Love the look. I'm a SCSB lover myself.    Two items. 1.) A spacer changes scrub radius but this also changes when we use wheels of different offsets. A little isn't a big deal. 2.) Steel wheels, alloy wheels all have different thickness. Same effect on the stud and lug nut as a spacer. When hub centric the wheel isn't supported by the stud. It's supported by the hub. The stud just keeps it all together.
    • I had a evap sol go bad a couple weeks ago. . I replaced it.  While watching live data at the time I saw I had some cylinder 1 misfires. No MIL but on live data I could see ~50 at startup and about 70 more after an hour a drive all on cyl 1.  I also noticed that the LTFT were -5% to -15% always.  And that bank 2 is always -3% richer than bank 1. Even across all driving modes, city, highway, etc it’s always 3% richer than bank 1. So I start with the misfire. Swapped coil, plug, and plug wires from 1 to 3. No follow. I got an Injector reseal kit, pulled the D/s injector rail, swapped #1 and #3 injectors, resealed them, reinstalled and retested.  The misfire followed to 3. So I ordered and replaced all 8 injectors, spark plugs, and plug wires. Also replaced the 1 time use fuel pipes under the intake manifold.  Injectors that were in the truck since new were  Part # 12668390.  I replaced them with # 12742701 Got from RockAuto. Pretty certain they’re genuine and the correct ones. I called a friend at a parts store who told me “the 12742701 were the correct superseded part # for the originals I was replacing”. So started truck after replacing all that and it’s running -15 - -30 LTFTs. I reset the fuel trims with GDS2 and drove it for a 60 miles trip each way. There have been no changes in the LTFTs.  I checked if the HPFP was leaking into the crankcase. I removed the pvc and watched the trims. No difference.  I checked the alcohol content and it was at 10%  I’m out of ideas here. Truck seems to run great. Just always rich on the fuel trims.  Anyone with any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.  I ran an injector balance test just for the heck of it and it came back this. I’m confused.  I have gds2 and some other diag tools if anyone knows of anything I should test next.
