Anyone noticed the all star edition is now almost 1k more expensive?

Gotta get that $750 "discount" back somehow... plus another $250 for the extra paperwork and advertising.

I'm sick of these GM dealers. They all say the same thing "we can't sell under supplier pricing". I'm thinking some of these posted prices are played with by other users to make it look better on them. But if even half were true there are still some decent deals. I'm in southeast Florida and this is what I keep hearing.

Same here in Mississippi

12 local dealer from 100 miles around give me a deal for $7900 off on SLE $4700 off on SLT

If someone give me $9000 off from MSRP on 4WD SLE or SLT I'll sign in heartbeat.

Need to save some$$$$ for 6"lift and 35'tires if you know what Iam looking for.

Cause I won't spend $6K on work truck to lift lol

The trick is to trade in a vehicle and get them to pull out the Hold Back cash and put it towards your trade so that you end up rolling over less or putting more down. They are right when they say the "supplier" pricing is set in stone, and that's fine so you have them put more on a trade from the hold back cash so you get more than book value on it.

That is how I work all of my deals, I purchased 3 new GM vehicles in the last 2yrs, I always get a great deal because I get them to pull out the Hold back cash and put it on my trade.

For example on my 2014 Silverado 4x4 crew cab, all star, MSRP 44k + tax/title/doc/etc.

Traded in my 07 Silverado LTZ Vortec Max, 120k mi. The book was $13,500 trade-in, I owed 15k on my loan.

After finalizing the numbers on the 2014, GM supplier set pricing and rebates, I then made the dealer pull out the Hold Back cash and put a bunch into my trade. They give me $17200 for my trade, that gave me $2200 down on my new truck.

my OTD price, everything included was $36,380.

I thought holdback was only 3% of msrp roughly. That'd be around $1300

The holdback is to cover 90 of interest of a new truck if it was sitting on the lot not being sold. I got it all in mine, with my $10k off my new denali I ordered. It's not going to sit on the lot and it's an easy give back to me and completely upfront.

How did you negotiate getting it? They just offered?

Just told them I want the holdback part of my deal, they matched a deal I got from Laura gmc in St. Louis. I know the guys at the dealer and said matchit and they did and took another $500 off as well as another $250 from a side leveling/tire upgrade I had asked for when I pick it up. Got spray liner thrown in to finalize as well. I meant to put 90 days not just 90 above. Every car has the holdback, again if it doesn't sit for an extended period ask them and say your getting it at dealership A and beat it.

Are located near St. Louis? Laura GMC does seem to be the cheapest to get a quote from but wonder what a dealer close to me in S FL would say about them being so far away. So holdback is 3% of MSRP?

If you're not getting the Hold Back cash on your purchase then you're NOT getting a good deal. Take them for everything you can, they make enough money on selling these trucks and cars.
