I had the same thoughts when I was looking for boards, the oem boards hang too low and are thicker than my liking. I am glad I spent the extra money for the chrome on the side, they match the body side molding and door handles great. These are a breeze to install and you can adjust them in and out from the rocker panel. If you wanted to drill new holes on the bracket you could adjust the height, but If you made them higher it would be harder to use getting in and out of the truck.

Here are some pics, excuse the dirt.

Being 6'2' I've never given running boards a chance cause they always seemed to make entering more awkward. Do i use them?? Do I just step over them??

Maybe it's just the pictures. But they look like they would also help protect the lower door panels from any rocks thrown from the tires too.

OP do they seem like that would be the case?

If so this may be something I would consider.

I would not have them on without the lift, I like the way the truck looks without them better. The pros are they help protect the rocker panels of the truck and they save the driver seat from me sliding in and out of the truck without them.

What tent is that?

Tyler

It's the Rightline Gear tent

If you want one, I got it from Jeepnit.net, shoot them an email (they don't have their website up just yet), at [email protected] or [email protected] and let Cliff know I sent ya [emoji108]

I'm currently deployed and jumped the gun on buying my dream truck over the past week. I bought a 2014 Chevy Silverado LT Z71 Rocky Ridge Alpine Edition for when I come home. I bought it used with 2771 miles but I feel that I got a pretty good deal on it considering the Rocky Ridge Alpine package is an additional $11,000 upgrade. The Rocky Ridge Alpine Edition comes with the following:[*]- Alpine High Performance 4” Suspension Lift Kit

[*]- Pro Runner Brushed Aluminum Rear Shocks

[*]- Full Coil Over Spring

[*]- Power Side Steps

[*]- 20” Custom Wheels

[*]- 35” ATX Tires

[*]- Matte Finish Carbon Fiber Interior Trim

[*]- Stainless Steel Dual Exhaust with Flowmaster Muffler

[*]- Speedometer Recalibrated

[*]- Tire Sensors Recalibrated

[*]- Road Force Balancing

[*]- 4 Wheel Alignment

[*]- RR Windshield Logo

Curious to hear whether or not I got a good deal from everyone else though. I bought it for exactly $37,000 and again it has 2771 miles. Only thing I don't like is that I was looking for a crew cab. Also, I wanted the center console rather than the jump seat as well as leather but I plan on making several modifications.

I first say that I feel your pain as I too am stuck on deployment, second I say you got a great deal because you said " Dream Truck " that's all need be said!

Drove to the cabin yesterday in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Took a few pics but this was the best. Thought I'd share

My 15 LTZ. Temporary wheels until I get some forces! PTM coming soon.

What wheels are those?? I think those would look sick on 35s and a 6inch lift

Looks like OEM Tahoe / Burban LTZ 22" rims to me.
