I'm looking at the picture of your Denali and noticed the part around the tow hooks is chrome. Did it come that way because of the white diamond or did you get it special ordered. It looks great! I ordered a black Denali but every picture I see has that part in a painted plastic. If you have any idea how or where I can order one please let me know.

The Denali's come with the chrome piece. It's standard on them so if you ordered a Denali you will get it chrome. It definitely looks nice and I'd love to get it if I colormatched my bumpers.

No one is going to flat out state they dont have any problems. Thats like asking for something to go wrong :)

I have yet to take mine in for its first oil change, but it will be soon. When it goes, the only things I will be asking the dealership to look at will be the radio for poor reception, and the drivers seat for non operation of seat heater. I had a 2007 GMT 900 that I traded in for my new truck, and every day i'm happy that I did so. This new truck is stellar!

Especially its sticker price.

Hey guys, thanx for all the great info and opinions. Much appreciated. I must say, I was the very first person to purchase the 2014 model GMC/CHEVY in my entire region. Dealer wanted to put me on the newspaper and facebook....lol..but everyone I mean everyone complimentes me on it. Its a Gorgeous truck. Looks Aggressive with a touch of Class. I mean to keep it, Ive been looking into the original 22" wheels offered as accesories. They look awesome. BUT...that would be till ALL my issues get fixed.Thanx guys glad to be part of this community.

And of course in the nature of capitalism, you're expecting companies to continue to make a suitable profit on their product, so to support the large increase of backend people and systems to make something internal data like that publishable to the general population you're ok with the price of your truck going up 5-20% to cover that massive database of items?

 

Yes they already have all that information, but it's to drive internal work, it's not in context or form that is able to be released to the general public and has way more information in it they'd like to share with their competitors or their suppliers competitors etc so teams would have to clean it/filter it etc. If you want to see quarterly reports of how they're doing, start reading the quarterly earnings statement/disclosure that is required for publicly traded companies and see how it compares to prior year and other competitors....lots of info can be gleaned from those

You mean a computer program? Cost $0.0001 per vehicle.

I love my '14 LTZ only issue I have is some dash warping, which is a bit unsettling. Link to my issue http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/155732-new-14-ltz-warped-dash/. They are going to take the truck tomorrow and look into fixing it. If they can't I'll be getting my money back & I'll go buy a Ford or Toyota (ouch, hurts to say). I know it's a somewhat minor problem but it's staring me right in the face everytime I drive it. When I pay $40k + for a truck I really don;t want an issue like this.

 

Otherwise I do love the truck and have had no mechanical issues. Although I only have 200 miles on it.

DAMN THOSE LOOK SWEET !! DID THEY COME ORIGINAL WITH UR TRUK??? MINE HAS THE OFFROAD PACKAGE SO IT CAME WITH SOME 18s WITH ALLTERAIN TIRES. LOOKS GOOD BUT THERE JUST SILVER, AND ON A BLACK TRUCK IT DULLS THE LOOK.....THE OFFROAD PACKAGE CAME WITH RANCHO SUSPENSION, CHROME Z71 BADGE, UNDERBODY SHEILD AND HICAPACITY AIRFILTER.

Hey guys,

 

Long time lurker here...looking to buy a 2014 Sierra Denali in the next 4 weeks, but after reading numerous threads on this forum - there are a TON of people reporting problems with their trucks.

 

My opinion is that if you're paying $50,000+ for a pick up, you shouldn't have these problems, and my question is that do you think the Denali's will run into the same issues or do they have higher quality production standards for the Denali models?

 

 

I can tell you that I used to be a ford guy, that being said I don't know if I would buy one now I could introduce you to someone who hates Chevys, Dodge and Ford for various reasons. I believe that all trucks will have some sort of problem it's just the way it is. The reason I am driving a new 2014 is because my 2013 was bought back. I bought the 2013 instead of a 2014 at the time because I thought after 6 years the 2013 would be bomb proof, I was wrong.

 

To me it's not the problem but how it's handled. In my case Chevy handled it right and gave me a brand new truck hats off to them. My friend drives dodge now because ford told him they were going to buy his truck back and never did it. They did not even tell him just let him wait around until he started asking questions again.my customer service experience has been great but I believe it all starts with the service department and mine had been exceptional, just my two cents
