Are you guys using the auto crank where you just hit the key and let it go right away or are you holding the key in the crank position until it starts?

Does remote start require multiple attempts to start it, or is it firing on one click.

Fires up on one click.

I use the auto crank feature.

And guys, I've already posted the reason the trucks take longer to crank. Its due to the Direct Injection. Its totally normal and there is nothing wrong with the starters. This thread can be over.

It is best on modern engines to start up and drive off. The oil heats quicker and lubricates more effectively. It is no longer recommended to ''warm up'' engines. I understand some of you live in the arctic.

Mine does this too. If its been sitting for awhile (a day or two) and its cold, it will take a few more seconds to turn over and start. Its never failed to start though so I'm not too concerned about it.

My truck does this as well. Especially with e85 and in the cold. I believe it also has to do with the high pressure side of the fuel system. Sometimes it takes a little longer to build up enough pressure.
