Do you only have the drone in V4 mode? Or does it carry over to V8 also?

V4 only. It sounds beast in V8. Especially when you're in the gas hard. The tone is leaps and bounds better than a flowmaster. Never had Corsa or Borla so cant comment on those.

 

The magnaflow sounds killer on startup too.

Haha... I don't know... maybe it's because that B&B Fusion exhaust on my Vette is so dang loud; it's like being in a war zone! It makes the truck sound like a quiet breeze by comparison! :lol:

 

I have the 22" Magnaflow with valve and rez delete. At first I thought it was too quiet, but it's getting a little louder with some miles and I'm liking it more every day.

I have the 18" Magnaflow 12288 and am going to change to the 22" 12588 next week. Too much drone and the 18" is just too loud for me. I'm hoping it will make it a fare bit more quiet but not too sure if just going with a larger muffler will do it. I might be better off putting in two resonators? Don't know. Any suggestions would help at this point.

OK, here's my 22" Magnaflow with Flapper & Rez delete. Headphones for most accurate sound.

Do you have dual out one side? I wonder if it would sound any different coming out behind each wheel? Maybe less loud?

Good sound to go with the looks. Nice truck Luster. Tomorrow I am having the muffler shop move my exhaust to rear of tire in factory location but he is gonna have the tips flush with underbody tucked up tight and contour to the curve of the lower quarter panel. I will post pics tomorrow afternoon.

It's actually just a single exit behind the passenger rear wheel, but the tip is split into two 4" outlets... I really don't know how the sound quality would be for duals vs. single.

So the 14" magnaflow is plenty loud with the 3rd converter left intact, so gonna keep it like that. However, not fully sold on the location of the tips. Opinions? Leave it where it is or move it to exit behind rear tire in stock locstion?

Its dual out, so two tips. Muffler shop had them in stock.

sweet lol I may decide to do that for now. I really want exhaust again but I don't want it all hacked up. I've always loved that exhaust tip though

The 5.3L doesn't have a 3" inlet, does it?
