thank you for your reply.I should have worded the question better.I know the cat back Borla does not have the flapper valve. That is the reason I am interested in that system.I have read earlier posts of people using 2013 or earlier borla catback systems on 2014 models. Also know gm/borla uses the flap valve.Question!!!,Can or will a 2013 Borla catback fit on a 2014 without any mods. This is for a reg cab only.thanks

It should fit fine.

Anyone have a photo of the GM/Borla exhaust that are split rear exit on their truck? Also a sound clip would also be helpful.Called Borla and they said this is the touring version.I have a sport version on my 2008 and really like the sound.Just wondering if this 2014 system will be loud enough on a 2014 reg cab. Thanks

I'm hoping mine will get here Monday/Tuesday. I'll post back once I have it installed.

Figured I would mention here, I wanted to see what my truck sounded like at idle / rev with the butterfly valve open on my exhaust, so I had someone rev it while I was back there. I noticed the square piece on the outside actually turns when the valve opens. I know a lot of people on here have clamped the valve, just wondering if they turned it first? Might be impeding the flow if you didn't..

Yes, of course, you need to turn the valve to the open position before clamping it.

How do I make my 4.3L sound like a 6.2L? (Without buying a new '14 Silverado. I already traded in my '14 5.3L)

Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!

Find a way to add 2 more cylinders and 2 more liters to the motor. Kidding, I don't think you will ever get the 6.2 rumble from a v-6.

Hey to be completely honest I am very impressed with this new V-6 that GM put out. Not one single issue on my whole truck so far. And coming from the 5.3 in my 08 Sierra I don't miss it.

Yeah, I like it! I traded my '14 5.3L for my '14 4.3L. I was reading one of the forum topics and apparently my V6 can tow more weight than some V8's because of my gears. I don't really know for sure though (or care, really) I just got it because it looks sooooo sweat! I just wish it sounded more like my '04 V6 Silverado. That truck sounded great! This new one is just whisper quiet.

I just installed the Corsa Sport exhaust today. Single side exit, black tips. Really love it so far! Sounds great in V8 mode. You can hear it in V4 mode (helicopter sound...), but it isn't too bad. With the radio up and a/c on, I don't notice a sound difference while cruising on the highway.

Does the front pipe have a valve and bypass pipe on it? If so, can you post a pic.

Yes it does, and I will have to post a picture later. I have zero drone. I had a flowmaster super50 on prior to this, and the drone was very minimal, could barely notice it. Now I have none at all.

    • After I wrote that reply I went for a ride. 85 F out. So trans started at 85 F and it shifted the same as it did an hour latter at 168 F. I've never actually recorded the to cold to shift point but it is under 32 F before they start hanging on to a lower gear or leaving the converter unlocked. Both intended to heat fluid.    Yes, brake or bake. Absolutely.      Your welcome. True research ended decades ago. Field trials are still in play.    There is a thing called oxidation onset temperature. This is the heat related oxidation not the O2 exposure kind. For mineral oil that starts at 140 F. So what happens after 140 F? Each 20 F cuts fluid life in half! Does using a Full Synthetic improve that? Yes! By how much? Depends on the base oil type and a few other factors. But enough to notice. Some esters are even higher. There are even synergies between types the will raise it higher than any one component is alone.    Then there is "Hindered" oils. Antioxidant additives. Hindered Polyol Esters can sit at 500 F for years in a turbine.   When a blender brags his oil will 'take 500 F" in service he doesn't specify for how long. Water will dance on a 500 F hot plate for several seconds. @newdude put up a chart showing the relationship between fluid temperature and it's life in an automatic transmission. Here's a version of that chart for Group III based oils. These temperatures are those in the pan as observed as 'normal'. that is you drive as you do for as long as you do under what load you ask of it and whatever that temperature is this graph applies to. Flash temperatures of a few minutes isn't what his means.    Note that fluids held at a constant 240 F have a service life of only 20K miles. 220 F explains the factory exchange limit, eh? My equipment I keep under 180 F and I'm good if the cooler will hold it as low as 140 F. But that's me.
    • Im in the same boat. Carlink adapter comes tomorrow and dev account is in process. Would you he able to send the new instructions my way also? Question, do you have to change code and republish app everytime developer updates? Thanks for your assistance, truly the only thing i cant stand about my truck is the carplay limitation
    • Parts department or service department at the dealer.
    • I’ll take the blue one!
    • And Google AI says......... Yes, your truck can technically handle it, but you will be right at or near its maximum limit. A 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country with a 6.5-foot bed has a maximum payload capacity of approximately 1,770 pounds.Weight RealitiesLoad weight: Half a cord of dry hardwood weighs roughly 1,100 to 1,500 pounds depending on the wood type (like oak or hickory).Payload limit: Payload includes the weight of the wood, you, any passengers, and a full tank of gas.The math: If you weigh 200 pounds and have a full tank of gas, a 1,500-pound load of wood puts you right at that 1,770-pound ceiling.Safety TipsCheck the yellow and white sticker on your driver-side door jamb for your truck's exact payload number, as high-end luxury trims with extra features have slightly lower capacities than basic trucks.Expect the rear end to sag noticeably.Drive carefully, avoid sudden turns or stops, and keep speeds low if you have to travel a distance.
