Nasty Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 They fit the mounts to tight. I had to hammer them In. I didn't like that so I sent them back. And their shackles rubbed the shackle mount and made a squeaking sound

Sometimes the LCA mount on the frame will be squeezed down some, that's fairly normal to have to open them up a bit. A little persuading to install them I'm fine with, I've been in the aftermarket industry enough to know that's very common with the amount of variance in vehicle build tolerances, so that is not a big deal. 2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 Regular Cab Short Bed
kdhs10 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Finally got around to installing the kit I have had for about 6 months. 1
kdhs10 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 (edited) What kit and how much drop is that? McGaughys, supposed to be 3/5. http://mcgaughys.com/products/3-slash-5-or-4-slash-6-deluxe-kit-for-2014-2016-gm-truck-1500-2wd-part-number-34170 I did spindles and struts with 1" drop up front and just the flip kit in the rear. You did just just the flip kit in the rear? You didn't touch the shackles or shackle hangers?

Looks great! Do you have any tire rubbing? I'm installing the 34270 kit on my 17 DC 2wd. I set the rear hangers at 5" drop. Still working on the front and and plan on 3" with factory tires. billg72340 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Back is 5" front is 1" so far. Waiting on spindles. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Going to get an alignment today and put some more miles on it and see if I want to go back and do the hangers to go up to 5" in the rear. Edited June 21, 2017 by kdhs10
Nasty Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 I'd notch your bed support above the pumpkin. Super easy. Then get helpers and smaller tires all around. Instead of messing with those rivets on the shackle hangers. That height looks perfect
kdhs10 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 (edited) Then you sir have a 7" drop in the rear Yep. Edited June 21, 2017 by kdhs10
