Has anyone tried the Chevy Performance Air Intake?

Here is the site.

http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/silverado-parts.html

Here is what they claim.

P/N 84016022 (Performance Air Intake—2014-2016 Silverado 1500,
Tahoe, and Suburban with 5.3L V8) / MSRP: $550†
Upgrade the performance and look of your truck with the Chevrolet Performance air intake. This system reduces air intake restriction by up to 15% and looks great under the hood. It’s available for 5.3L applications. Rigorously tested to GM standards for durability, corrosion, and performance.

Interesting. Never seen or heard of anyone running with the GM branded one

54-82332_1.1486525921.jpgAFE shows a new CAI on their website to be available March 2017

The published gains by AFE on their site are lower for the upcoming new CAI than the unit tested by BP..odd they would show lower number for new CAI. I wonder what is improved or why a changed design...to meet CARB maybe?

Is the unit tested not available? I couldn't find it on the afe website for the 6.2

Does the 5.3 and 6.2 have the same afe part number?

I tried to click on the bbp test and it doesn't work. I haven't seen them even though I just ordered the afe gt

Yes they both have the same part number however separate part numbers and different cost for dry filter vs oiled filter

I've had the intake on 2 weeks. The link doesn't work for me. The tests show up as a blank screen. But it's OK. I'm happy with the intake

Mine is the 51-74104 14-17. Works on 5.3 and 6.2. It comes with a coupling to fit either throttle body
