I see you have the extra tie downs. I bought them with my cover but haven't installed them yet. Dis you use them much on your old truck?

I bought the HD model and it had all of those installed, I used them a couple of times.

That makes sense. I bought the SE. But I thought it would be more secure to have them on the back when putting stuff on the top of the cover.

New here as well but wanted to chime in on the Tonno Pro tri-fold cover.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EUZZK74/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ordered one last week and took my first trip with it on over the weekend. Drove from Arlington to Austin, Tx.

It is a little noisy on the highway once you get up to 75+. The tri-fold is very convenient and goes off and on quickly. Seal seems good. Took it through the car wash and bed was pretty dry afterwards.

I do not plan on using this very often and pretty much only for trips with cab fully occupied and luggage goes in the bed or tailgating and in need of the security when in the game. The trifold and snap buckles make on/off easy and storage in the garage when not in use is perfect for what I needed.

Easily worthy the price but if it was going to be on 100% of the time, I would need to focus on the noise and make it stop.

What was the noise you heard? I've got the same cover, and the only time I've heard noise was when I accidentally mounted it too close to the cab, and the gasket/flap rubbed against the cab in the wind - a high-pitched squeaking/chirping noise.

Was that what you heard?

That's exactly what it was! So mounting further back fixes it? It won't be back on for a few weeks but I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

No worries, man.

Trust me - it was driving me bonkers until I figured it out!

I just received the call that my cargo lid cover by Century is ready. I'll post pics on Friday, after I've had it installed. Then I'm slapping a Weather Tech bed mat in there and then that's gonna be about it, in terms of putting money into this truck for a while.

This type of cover isn't real popular around here, but here it is. I won't be baling any hay or helping people move. I do like it, but not happy that I can't go through the car wash for 90 days - something about the clearcoat/paint needs that long to fully cure, or whatever, and the brushes aren't good for it. So I'll just wash it by hand until then.

That looks really good to me. It lifts higher than I thought it would.

I don't know if they make them nowadays or not, but they used to make shocks for the hard covers that came with a new mount and shock that lowered the lift height and made it easier to lift also.

The mount just lowered the mounting point on the truck bed, they worked better than I would have thought.

Yeah, there is just enough room to use the bumper step, and still climb up into the truck bed, etc. This lid pretty much renders my cargo light as useless now, obviously. I'll get a couple of LED lights and just mount them on the bottom of the lid.

Yeah, the cargo lights don't do much with a cover like you have. You could always do the mod to make them work with your backup lights.

Well I can say that my TonnoPro hard fold is starting to show some wear but, not bad after about 15k miles. Some fraying of the stitches not any fading yet, hardware is good still it's easy to take on and off by myself which is a plus and it keeps the water out really well. If I was to buy a cover today I'd probably get the truxedo titanium, it's irritating to take the cover off when I need full bed access.
