Yea, cold weather with the wife and two young kids in the back. I'm sure I could have gotten more mpg, but stopped, idled for a while (roughly an hour), and then back on the highway. This was back in December in Chicago.

Well this is my first mod post...it's not much but I dipped the front and rear emblems (no pics of rear yet) also not sure why this pic is upside down but you get the idea

While I was waiting between coats to dry I took off the front valance/air deflector at the bottom

After that between drying coats I decided that my Avalanche's emblem needed a little sprucing up

Here's the finished result on the silverado

I still have a ways to go, I want to put a 2" RC leveling kit on the front as well as dipping the wheels and rest of the emblems

2" leveling kit, alignment, 275/60/20 KO2's, DDM 55W 4500, driver side grab handle, deezee bed mat, and waiting on my tonneau to be delivered. Busy couple of days.

Where and how did you mount those footwell lights? Could you list some picks of them with the lights off maybe for a visual?

the last picture is with the lights off.

Also took the 4x4 stickers off the side of the bed too

I just used a blow dryer on high heat and picked at it and slowly peeled it away while applying heat. I was gonna use a heat gun but the blow dryer worked just fine

I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can finally get out there and do everything else I want to do. Here in michigan spring is just another fancy word for extended winter

I use similar methods and then use gas to get the sticky parts off of the paint. Just have to wax that area when you are done. I didn't like the Z71 stickers, so they are gone. Noticed others got Z71 that has 4x4 also, but mine didn't for some reason. Must people think my truck is 2 wheel until I tell them.

I have yet to wax it I thought that maybe the residue will come off with the next wash....there's nothing sticky on there now I'm just worried about a "4x4" outline being on there. Should I use the gas or wd-40 just in case? I don't see an outline right now but the light isn't hitting it the right way

I use wd40 cause I feel like gas wouldn't ruin the paint but I've never used it so no for sure answer. Wd40 has always worked for me
