I opted for the Premium and it apparently takes longer than the standard.

I also got premium, and got some silver sparkle thrown in as well. Looks killer I think

That does look nice. I didn't do anything special with mine. When I got home, I realized that I should have asked them to continue from the bed out toward the tail lights since there's plenty of clearance and a body line that would have made for an easy stopping place anyway. It's nice to have it done now so that I can stop staring at scratched up paint whenever I use the truck as a truck.

I do have silver sparkle. It's hard to see in that pic. A blue Ford got blue sparkle and it matched perfect and that's what sold me on it

When i got mine i saw a sample at SEMA 2013 of black with red sparkle and I was sold. 3 weeks later the entire kit including sparkle was on my door step.

Line-X Premium done today.

Oddly enough, immediately after I pulled up at the dealer, someone in a 2015 Sierra 1500 w/ crew cab and standard box pulled up next to me. If not for the blue color change between '14 and '15, it would have been nearly identical. He was lucky enough to have the 6.2 w/ 8 speed tranny though. Turns out, he bought it from the dealer in the town I live in too. He had a Rhino already and was there to have a hard tonneau installed.

I think you mixed up this one and the Driver handle thread because you posted a pic of side steps in the driver handle thread lol.

But to answer your question, I think what you're talking about is just a little tether for if the airbag goes off the A-pillar trim doesn't hit you. With the handle you won't have to worry about that since it's bolted to the A-pillar chassis.

Yeah my copy and paste didnt work out to well lol

Oh so that piece just snap it back in its spot where it was suppose to go

But the air bag wont deploy now? : / damn i thought we (you guys lol) had said there wasnt an air bag in the piller just a filler spot for it

I just tucked it back in there. The airbag will deploy, I believe that rectangle outline behind the handle itself is where the airbag will come out of.

I just pried the black tether out, and bolted the new handle in. It causes no issues whatsoever.

I don't think anybody knows why that's there. Most people just cut it off or bend it. I just forced it into place and it bent that piece.
