Has anyone replaced just the muffler, not a full system or cat back? I may be getting old, but I like the quiet cab. However if I have the windows down, I am all about listening to the exhaust. Just wondering if a muffler only would be a happy medium?

I did with a Flowmaster Super 40. The only time its "loud" in is really slow acceleration, like if you were in traffic

But other than that, its not loud in cab at all. It certainly makes a rumble inside the oarking garage. No "drone" what so ever cruising at highway speeds. You can hear it if u switch to v4 around 30 mph but nothin that annoys me

I made this sound comparison to stock back when i first got it

Did you do the rears as well, or is it even possible? I sent you a PM.

I am going back to where I got these this weekend. I plan to get another strip and place them on the cross bar under the seats. I will just quick splice in and do what I need to. Should be nice when finished.

Nothing big but I replaced the front Weathertech mats with Husky X-Act mats.

Is there a special reason why? I have the weathertech laser cut ones and figured they were pretty similar. I just have purchased weathertech in the past

Kinda like Chevy is the best and good looking trucks!! LOL

I'd definitely agree with that.

What's funny to me is that your Seadoos make more horse power than my 05 5.3L did.

There was nothing wrong with the weathertechs just got tired of them being slippery when wet. I kept the rear weathertech mat in.

Some people like Weathertech, some like Husky. They are very similar mats. I have been a Weathertech fan for quite a while and swear by them. Never had an issue with them. I think it comes to preference. I've never had Husky's, but from what I see, the only thing they have that my Weathertech's don't is a lip on the edge to prevent the water from going towards the door.

Weathertech's suck now days. Brands like Husky have surpassed them especially in terms of fit and finish.

Huskys also fit along the edges where as weathertechs curl away. After owning both now, I'll never waste my money on weathertechs again. Don't get me wrong weathertechs do a fine job, husky just does it better.

Rear Bumper swap:

Before:

After:

This is my 2nd time removing the rear bumper. Went much faster with my "bed lifter". LOL. About 1.5 hrs.

Note to self (or anyone swapping rear bumpers):

If you have park assist sensors, make sure you install the outer sensors BEFORE installing the bumper back. There is no access to put them in after the fact, unless you have hands the size of a toddler. I needed to paint the sensors and thought I could put the bumper back and the sensors later. Nope!

3rd times a charm?

Same here. I don't want it to be permanently on or hard to remove bc if I PCS to a new state with different laws it will be a pain.
