Break controller

Can anyone tell me how to tell if your silverado has a break controller. I have the hd towing package and a tow control with +/- on the gear shift.

Same place on my 1500 as well. Right below the headlight knob....

yes, that's right it is on the left side of the dash. it comes with the max. tow package. you can hit the trailer brakes on the dash separate from the truck's brakes. and with the readout, see what % of trailer brake is being applied in conjunction with the truck's brakes as well. no mickey mouse set up here. really nice, imo

I'm sure that there's a way that it -can-, but your money would likely be better spent on adding a quality aftermarket controller like a Prodigy P3. You might even be able to customize that cutout on the top left of your dash so that it fits in there nicely (I did something similar with the center console on my 2011 Tundra and never left a mark from where it was installed).
