I put on an Airlift kit but it didn't use the bump stop. It had it's own brackets. But it was for the earlier trucks too.

Have not e mailed them but on SD spring site there is a FAQ that says they are approved for the 14 .I am very scepticle as I have a 900t in the driveway and the bump stop is different.

Is this in the correct forum now? I'm guessing it is..

As far as the airbags are concerned, say I pump em up just so the trucks (w/o any extra load, just ever day driving) weight is supported mainly by the bags, would it ride better? The cost would be totally worth it if I could make my truck ride around like an old... Oldsmobile for example, or a deVille or whatever.... Pretty smooth is all I'm trying to say

If you do that it will ride like a wooden wagon. Because when the bags only have ~5psi they don't have enough air to support any weight and the leaf springs are supporting the weight. Now you put 50 psi with an empty bed and the bags support the majority of the weight and since there is nothing heavy to weigh it down it's gonna ride rough as hell. Imagine what it would be like to have a peice of 3/4" pipe connecting the frame to the axle and driving around like that. The only way for it to ride like an old cadi is to ditch the leaf springs and replace with bags.

Ah I see, thanks for the info. I guess I was just thinking of those 18 wheelers with "Air Ride Equipped" logos real big on the trailers and figured it made the ride better, of course they are considerably heavier, didn't think that one through completely...

You would think by now someone would have the kit installed.I'm still waiting as well. Not wanting to order a kit online only to find it has fitment issues.I could bring it in and have the work done and if there are issues the shop would have to deal with it.I would rather do it myself at about half the cost as a shop quote.BTW they ride better than stock with 5 lbs in the bags.

Everyone-

I installed the Firestone 2430 kit last weekend on my 14' Sierra SLE. Just to clear the air the 2430 is the correct set for our trucks. Very simple installation, straight forward, and everyday tools to install. Best part about that kit is that there was no drilling required, unlike the other kits.

Let me just say "WOW" the difference while pulling a trailer. NO more saggy bottom boy. I have only needed to put mine up to 60 lbs at most. Also I ran a "T" fitting so both bags get the same pressure. If you have any questions, please just ask.

For the money, this is one option definitely pays for itself.

Did you install the onboard compressor with gauges ? What was the kit cost? How long to install?
