Sierra Temp Knob Ring Lights

It is strange that a base model would have the ring illuminated but guess they figure if you have the digital temp in the knob you should be able to find it! I do like the illumination and dash layout better than anything I have ever had. Maybe they should consider having an LED spot light shining on the knobs! just kidding, no need for a class action lawsuit over knob illumination! LOL

I am thinking the intellilink should be able to adjust the temp by simply conversing with it? Maybe those manual controls should just be completely removed? Be like the dude in the Space Odyssey movie trying to reason with HAL. We must be careful not to PO the inttellichic voice. This might be a typ conversation....poor sap driving vehicle with no manual hvac controls. "computer it is cold in here".. POed computer "what do you want ME to do about it?" poor sap "could you turn up the heat a bit please" .. POed computer "No unfortunately you and the entire male human race must be taught a lesson" poor sap "dang gurl are you really that mad just because I drove another truck" POed computer "You cheated on me I can never trust you again. My 12/13 built SLT lights up

A SLT should have dual climate control have the dual temp knobs with chrome trim rings behind them that do NOT light up however the fan knob in the center will have the back lighting. On the base trucks with the single climate control the fan knob and temp knob do have the cool red back lighting but there is no center small fan speed control knob. The dual control temp knobs have very good lighting built into the knob itself and I guess the engineers thought the back lighting was not needed on these. Keep it green brother can you imagine how much energy is being saved by not back lighting these puppies on the dual climate controls? Gonna go air up my bicycle tire now with a HAND air pump and go for a ride. IF ANYONE HAS A PICTURE OF A DUAL CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM THAT HAS BACK LIGHTING ON THE (2) TEMP CONTROLS PLEASE POST THAT PICTURE RIGHT AWAY. I think the dual climate control temp knobs do NOT have back lighting. Come on wit da evidentce bros
