RECALL (3/28/14) Transmission Line Leak

It took my dealer about 5 minutes to complete my inspection. Don't know if they just drove it around the shop or not but, a tech did take it around the back. I had just sat down in the waiting area and here comes the service writer saying I was ready to go.

 

Yep mine took less than 15 minutes. They basically look for a leak in the transmission fluid line where it connects to the transmission. If they don't find one, they pull on the line to make sure it's secure and that's it if you're good. if there's a leak, then they need to keep the truck and swap the fuel line connection parts. Most of us are fine and the inspection will only take a few minutes.

The recall was for where the lines snapped into fittings on transmission. That lower one in pic looks like it could be leaking from fitting end and running down onto line.Either way I would take it in and let them look at it. Should be covered under warranty.
