Sorry guys but I really don't think this is a big deal for the people who have had their trucks for a while.. I mean, if this line was lose you would probably notice it pretty quickly with how much line pressure there is.. I tend to believe the guy above who said possibly 10 or less trucks effected.. They are probably just playing it safe or following the law, especially because it doesn't cost any money to just look.. But I don't think it's anything to worry about, just keep an eye out for leaks.

Anyone know someone with a 2014 without full coverage insurance?

How about who here believes this is an issue that unreasonably endangers them?

Who doesn't believe general motors would be breaking your door down with a huge check if your truck burned to the ground?

If none of the above, take it to the dealer and be happy they did their job. If you can't deal with this issue, maybe a Toyota stuck throttle issue that seems to be somewhat undefrocked is for you.

You got that right. They (government, press) seem to be laying it on pretty heavy don't they? Also, a Tundra with a spare tire that rusts loose and drops from the vehicle while in motion is another option.

Where did you see the recall for your vehicle? I went to chevrolet.com and there still is no recall associated with my Silverado VIN.

Thanks. Well mine says...

"There are currently no active recalls for the VIN you entered. If you'd like to search for recalls on a different vehicle, please enter a new VIN below."

I set up an appointment for next week to have it checked anyway.

Mine as well, but when I called my dealer today to make an appointment for my first oil change, he said there was a recall on my vehicle. I asked what the recall was for and he said the tranny line.

So maybe this web link isn't quite up to date.

Every time there has been a recall and people go to these recall websites. They have never seen their truck to be listed as recalled. Either it's too early in the recall process and the website is behind or these websites are worthless.

Mine showed up today on the website. I'm guessing they are recalling all of 14s . Anyone had or heard of a leak yet??

I was told only 14s made in 2014 are the ones being recalled. Mine was made in Sept 13 and that site above shows no recalls for mine. Can everyone who os checking that site let us know if yours shows up what date your truck was built and the same for trucks that show clear. Thanks

Looked today and mine showed on the GM owners web site for the transmission line recall. Haven't gotten the email or letter yet. SLT CC built in Aug 2013. When I had the other recalls for the reprograming and the rear slider then never showed on the web site. I'll wait till I get a email or letter. If I happen to get by my dealer I'll ask him also.
