No letter or email here - found on on the mychevrolet.com site. Had it taken care of yesterday - no muss no fuss. Built 9/13. Dealer said he's seen just a small few that needed any corrective action.

No letter here either. Showed up on On Star and mychevrolet.com. Had it done today - no issues found. Build 8/13.

Had my Sierra recall done today, along with 1st oil change. No issues found with the recall. Build date was 6/13

This is odd. I first found out about this recall while browsing through this forum. I then logged on to OnStar where I confirmed that there was a recall for this issue on my truck. With the previous recall, I received either a letter or an email. Makes me wonder how many 2014 Chevy/GMC truck owners are unaware of this recall. I took the truck to the dealer the other day and was told that it would take about 20 minutes (I had made an appointment to address this issue). In less than 10 minutes, my truck was ready to go.

I think that the reason you did not get the notice is that the recall is not official until a certain date like April 24th or so.

Mine is being done right now as I am in a loaner truck today. Had a couple other things for them to look at as well.

My Dealer Actually Called Me To Set Up An Appointment For The Recall.

My truck was built 3/17/2014 and I got a notice from the fleet company that I have this recall on my truck. You figure since the truck is barely a month old they would have "corrected it" at the factory.

I checked the Chevy website on my VIN number. My truck was built 9/13/2013. My truck showed up for this recall. I had the Chevy garage check it out today (4/22/2014) and there was no problems. I now have this on record in case there are further issues.

I didnt get any sort of notification like I did for the other fire recall. For the other one related to remote starting/idling, I got an email saying to have the reprogram done.

I emailed my service guy today and had him run my VIN to see if my truck was in the recall group. Turns out it was. I am going in tomorrow morning for the inspection. My truck build is 8/13

I never received any notice for GM. I just ran my VIN number and it showed up. This was good enough for the dealership to do the inspection on my truck.

Took my dealer about 30 minutes to inspect my transmission lines. They say everything is ship-shape. No leaks and no loose fittings.

I got a notice of the recall on my monthly On Star notice. The truck is going on six months old so I scheduled an oil change for today. The Service Writer knew about the recall so they checked and my truck was fine. I still have had no problems with this truck. Should I be worried? Lol

I didn't read the entire thread so maybe this has been mentioned but the notices regarding this recall aren't being sent out until this week. That's what I read in a report about the recall. I too did a VIN number search on Chevy.com to find out about the recall on my truck because I was curious if there were any outstanding recalls that hadn't been addressed. This was the only recall that came up.

Took the dealer about 15 minutes to check and tell me everything was fine. I have a feeling most everyone will be fine and GM is just being overly cautious given the congressional hearings currently taking place. Keep in mind the Tahoe that blew up barely made it off the dealer lot on a test drive. If you've driven more than 10 miles in your rig you're already doing better than that Tahoe did. I had 1800 miles on my truck when I found out about the recall so I was pretty sure it was fine before even taking it in.

Either way don't worry if you haven't recieved a notice yet they're being mailed this week. You can also go to Chevy.com and run your VIN number to check. I'm guessing the same goes for GMC.com for Sierra owners.
