Appears this is what started it, I have not heard of another one catching on fire.

Certainly not screaming "Pinto" but just possibly "The Coffee is HOT".

I've only got around to having the other two recalls performed on my brand new truck. I havent been notified of this third recall, so I might as well just wait. Maybe I'll take it in and have the 4th and 3rd recall done at the same time. Or when I get around to having them look at this annoyiong vibration issue they can do all the recalls.

No ... but seems to be more Chevy's lately than anything else ....

Just so you know, i was never notified like the last one ( email and snail mail) but it did show up on my monthly OnStar status email and mychevrolet.com. Not sure if they were going to officially notify us after the April 28 release date or what. They have a lot of notifications to do for all of the other recalls going on. Not making excuses for them, but I did have it done before April 28 - does that cancel the notification? Who knows. Anyway, It took only a few minutes for dealer service tech to check.

On the other hand, they told me they haven't found one that issues yet.

Ironically, yesterday I got a computerized phone call ( robo call) to inform me that a Honda we used to have has a Stabilitrak recall to fix a problem that could cause a rollover. GM is not thr only one with recalls.

I even get recalls on my Harley!

I got a speedo recall on my 04 Z71 two years after I traded it, from the dealer I trade to. To add insult to injury I paid 700 dollars to get it fix from same dealer.

Just got my Safety Recall Notice #14121 in the U.S. Mail today, also dated May 2014. It was taken care of back on April 8, 2014 when I had it in for my second oil change @ 7500 miles. No problems noted. Took over 2 months to send out a letter? IIRC the recall started on March 28th?

Same deal here.

Mine was in for first oil change on April 14 and they checked the line which was OK. I guess GM is just a bit behind with their recall letters.

My dealer is so busy doing recalls that they're not doing appointments! First come first serve basis!

Just got this recall notice in the mail, even though I had my dealer check it several weeks ago.

I called my dealer today to make an appointment. Was told next time I'm in town to just come by it only will take a min to do.

I wonder if this is like the last two recalls I had one on Chevy and one on Toyota? The service writer did both in less than 5 mins and never took the vehicles in the shop.

It took my dealer about 5 minutes to complete my inspection. Don't know if they just drove it around the shop or not but, a tech did take it around the back. I had just sat down in the waiting area and here comes the service writer saying I was ready to go.
