Maybe if they quit making parts in China they will not need recalls such as this one.

It will never happen so get over it. We Americans want everything for the cheapest price we can get and the companies providing these things want the most profit they can make. That's a recipe for failure it seems.

Getting tired of the recalls, I have lost count of the number of times my truck has been back to the dealer. GM should start paying us mileage.

This will be number 5 for me . Maybe we should start a " how many times you been to the dealer " thread???

Can't believe everything the news says.. I doubt it will be all the trucks.. if that's the case then it's ridiculous. They have been in production for a year and this is just coming to light now? No, only 3 known issues, must be on the newer ones.. Something must have changed.. And even then, if it's just lose I can't see it all the trucks having this issue, they aren't all built in the same place.. Can multiple places have forgotten to tighten them? It's not going to mail out until April 28th? That's another month from now.. Probably not a very big deal.. just a select amount of trucks having to be checked out just to be sure.. Maybe one guy or one line screwed up and only those trucks are possibly lose.

Hey put it this way.. whoever is unlucky enough to have their truck burn up will get a brand new one.. Maybe it will be a '15.

Lol, 5 times...I wish. I've been to the Dealer almost 16 times for different things. The Dealer has agreed to buy back the truck and I will learn more on Monday what officially happens. I have had the fuel pump changed, fuel module, fuel tank, rear window gear, single tire for vibration, Afm hose for a leak, all four tires for vibration and numerous noise complaints about the truck.

So you're going to strip it all down after all the work you put into this thing? Too bad this truck lunch has been a failure, its the worst new release of any truck I've seen in the past several years, and I've been around both Ford and Dodge.

No need to hyper ventilate, this is easy to inspect. Take a 19 mm open end wrench and check the 2 cooler lines that enter the small block on the tranny. Also use a 13 mm box and check the bolt that secures the small block to the trans...........not loose or sign of oil your ok. I can see how a leak would drip onto the exhaust crossover and start a fire.

Did you check the other end? That is the transmission end of the equation but you have another end to be concerned about as well. While I might agree this is possibly the only one that could leak onto something hot it is not possibly what the recall is about.

checkin mine when the weather clears..a trip to the dealer means a day of missed work..forget that

I did check that as well where the cooler lines enter and exit the radiator. There appears to be no way to check the integrity of those connections because they use some kind of off-beat method, not a conventional line fitting. Even so, it would have to be a real gusher to cause a fire at that location.

From what I read the Yukon and Tahoe are also included in this recall. I think these all share the same transmission but are built at different plants??

Could you describe where exactly this is located? I want to check mine out as well. Are you looking in the engine bay?
