Lol on older vehicles you could turn the key on or off regardless of gear, whether the brake or clutch was pushed, moving or stopped. Now it's a "safety issue".

Things have changed. No by 2018 all vehicles will need back up cameras....

Back in the day a car turning off while moving was common. Fuel injection, electronic ignition, bigger fuel filters change that. Turning a corner too fast, hitting the brakes too hard could stall a car. You use to need to tune your car every 3000 miles. We used to be drivers, we all are passengers even behind the wheel. First big brother intrusion was the neural safety switch, you used to be able to start up in drive. Car stall no problem hit the key and go, part of driving. People get too relax while driving, not ready for any surprises.

Am half joking, but thinking the ignition thing is getting blown way out of proportion by BOTH the media & politicians.

That said, read the article about the less than a dollar fix & GM opting against it is insane.

But do not kid yourself for a moment that Toyota/Chrysler/Ford/Nissan etc have not done the exact same thing at

some point on some vehicle. Given how far back this is going with GM, you know this case will set precedence & more

people will be digging at ALL mfg's.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with these trucks. They are all performing as designed.

OH YEAH? Sounds like someone has their head in the sand.Have you read all the other post from many other people. Just take one problem ,say for instance, the drivers power seat. GM has been building trucks for around 70 years,and they can't even get this right! WTF. Maybe when the doors fly open and people start flying out of the door to their death we can get this fixed. Sounds silly right? well look at how GM is in front of congress right now for criminal business act that let a 57 cent piece resulted in untold DEATHS and they new about it and did nothing because it would have affected their govt, bailout and now the want to hide behind bankruptcy.,and they are all playing "WHOS ON FIRST" and will not answer any of congress"s questions. better wake up my friend.

I'd wager that over 90% of the new truck owners haven't had any issues at all, other than the reprogramming recall that was done. It looks like a pile of problems due to people that just get online and post complaints or ask questions, but that happens with any make/model. It's understandable that people get pissed when they spend this kind of money on a truck and it has flaws. My LED rings don't work, but I wouldn't call it a huge problem. I'd like them to work, but the rest of the truck has been flawless going on 9000 miles.

I never had a perfect ride yet, I had few enjoyed them all. I'm not perfect ether, I came with no warranty, as long as they don't kill me I not going to sweat it.

I know that SOME vehicles are having issues but it really seems that some people here are looking to hard for problems and not letting the truck get all settled in before they complain. Slow your roll peeps and enjoy!

The gmt 900s where good to 30,000 plus and rings clogged and then a lot started drinking oil. So many so, GM put out an expensive fix. Hope they got it fixed for the '14s. I would put a catch can on just for added insurance.

I hope they figured that out. Seems like after 09 or 10, they weren't having that issue like they did in 07-08 models.

I hope so too for all the '14 owners. Also Because I may buy one someday, sooner or later.

If you read the pinned oil thread in the 07-13 section, you will see the problem ran up into the '11s-12s. My '09 did not burn much of anything.

Read the tread about oil burn starts around 30-50,000. Said shhhhh...oot and walked out and checked mine. It was at about 50,000 and had 4,500 on my normal 5,000 mile M-1 oil change. Off the stick! Not sure how much it had burned as usually a little over full on an oil change as all oil does not get out. The 07-09s also have the hammered AFM lifter issue.

If I bought a '14 today, I would disable AFM and add a catch can. Maybe I'm gun shy but that is what I would do. Anyway, way off thread topic. Sorry about that.
