Well technically speaking it varies per manufacturer. I mean by default spec a 295/55/20 is 32.8"x11.61"x20, Toyo's measurements however for their MT 295/55/20 are 33"x12.2x20. I really just wanted to see the RT in 295/55/20. I don't think ill have enough clearance to run 305/55/20s and honestly 295/55/20s will be pushing it i believe.

I mean we're talking tenths of inches here and there per manufacturer difference to default spec but it is indeed a difference. I had just read that 33x12.5x20 rub with stock offset on the 14s. Also for some reason i picture 33x12.5x20 being a fat looking tire, which i don't really want. Want a balance between the two. Like my friends 285/70/18s, granted it's a 34" tire it being 11.5" width looks perfect.

why not look at 285 size tires then?

Well having looked at a lot of 2" leveling kits I think I'll be able to clear 295/55/20s. Wanting to go 33 in diameter. Should fill up the wheel well quite nice.

i wouldn't be afraid to go 33x12.50x20 if i were you, but those should look great as well.

Guys,

I really like the Michelin LTX/MS2 275/65/20 tires.

BUT I don't want to do the body lift.

I am ok with a front level, but again, I don't want to raise the rear.

So, with just a level what is the biggest tire I can go without having to cut anything.

My goal is to get more rubber between rim and road.

Truck is a 14 Sierra Denali 1500

Thanks,

Guys have been running the 275/60/20's with a 2.25-2.5" front level. Some have rubbed a little bit on the fender liner, some haven't. It's about the limit. That tire isn't very wide, but it's over 34" tall, so that's why it rubs. A safe bet would be the 275/60/20. It's the same width, but only 33" tall.

Ok just went through entire thread but looking for clarification. I have a 14 Silverado and putting a 2.5" rc leveling kit with 275/70/18 tires. Found a set of rims that are 18x9 0 offset. Will this setup work?

I'm running 285/65s on 18x9 with 0 offset. You should be fine. Your tires will be slightly taller and skinnier than mine and I still have room for more tire.

So I got a set of Hankook AT-M 305/55/R20s today with about 70 percent tread on em for 200 bucks. My question is with a 2 inch rc leveling kit will they fit and not rub? He said that he will give me my money back if they don't fit but I hate to do that really. They measure at 33.2 overall diameter but i dont know if they will hit being a wider tire? Anybody got anything?
