My 09 truck is a crew cab with 2wd. I dont punch on it alot but today i turned traction control off and floored it and it didn't even spin just went. Powers the same everythings fine the only thing i can say was different about today was it was 100 degrees. Any idea why it cant spin?

Being a 100* I'd say your tires are nice and warm and probably provide you plenty of traction which would keep you from spining tires. Just a thought.

Custom tune would help the most. Hot weather does effect you spinning tires. Torque management has a lot to do with though. The custom tune will be the most effective. I suggest a CAI and good exhaust.

CAI and exhaust wont do nothing either, again aftermarket cai do nothing but give more noise and aftermarket exhaust more noise also nothing is gained in those areas. Our trucks already have a CAI.

If you say so.

I agree

The stock airbox in these trucks is already plenty big enough. It's already designed to bring air in from inside the fender cavity. Honestly, I swear people are convinced that a CAI makes gains, simply because it used to in the past.

You will gain a little from a GOOD aftermarket exhaust, like a Borla system. However, I don't believe spending $1,000 on an exhaust system, is worth the 5HP you will see.

You need to either get a blackbear tune, or a diablosport trinity t1000. Keep in mind, disabling torque management will make the truck a lot more fun, but you can damage the drivetrains on these trucks when the power is not restricted.

Did you break something because of having the TM tuned out?

Out of everybody that is tuned on the 3 GM Truck forums I frequent, I can not recall a single incident where a tune caused driveline failure like you suggest. If that were the case, our tuned trucks would all be broken.

There are cases of people destroying the G80 but it's due to severe abuse of that system.

If you have personal experience or evidence a tune with the TM off caused failure I would be really interested to hear about it.

Well lets see. I have most the TM tuned out. I have an LQ9 6.0 rated stock at 345 HP 385 ft lbs. The stock 4L60E is barely capable of handling the torque of a 5.3. I didn't change my transmission and 30,000 miles later it still runs great. No catastrophic failure of the transmission or rear end.

Same here every truck Ive owned since 99 has had a tune or S/C, never broke one yet. Its also true that our trucks have cold air intake and plenty of flow thru the exhaust. You don't gain much from changing those just sound.
