Does your 2014 do this?

More for the list:

7-9-14 Filled gas tank to the top with 22.5 gallons, had 252.9 miles on trip computer (mostly freeway) = 11.24mpg. Truck reading 11.6mpg average on trip computer. The actual MPG is not even close to what we were getting when we first purchased the truck or to the advertised MPG on the window sales sticker. After the remote start fire hazard recall computer reprogram was done to our vehicle we haven’t been able to even get close to the GM stated MPG average again.

7-9-14 While we were driving we turned the radio completely off and the only thing visible was the clock display. About 30 minutes after turning off the radio we arrived at our destination and pushed the power button to turn the radio back on for a minute before we exited the truck. The radio screen did not come up, the unit turned on to display the phone connection screen and it was showing a phone call connection timer that had been running for 25 minutes and counting. We checked our phone and it was NOT showing that it was in a call. (We didn’t have an incoming call and we did not place any calls while on this trip - We didn’t even touch our phone!) We tried ending the connection on the radio display but it would not turn off/end the call timer. We also tried the driver steering wheel controls to end the connection with no effect. Next we powered off the phone and that finally disconnected the call in progress timer screen and unfroze the unit controls. After a restart on the truck everything worked again.

Saying the same problems over and over again is not going to help. Condense the issues and take it to the dealer..

Let him repeat himself. It's therapeutic.

Why yes, I enter a state of Zen every time the My-Stink system quits working. LoL!

To jay15892:

But in all seriousness..... I will continue posting the issues in this thread in order they happen daily to show how random, regular or bad they really are. This thread should show how damn annoying “little issues” can be when it happens over, and over, and over, and over, again to you.

7-10-14 No problems.

The list cont......

7-11-14 Both front seats would not get cool even after being on for over 30 minutes on high.

7-12-14 Radio would not hold any station it was put on; AM, FM, XM, and HD stations would all fade on and off and the radio kept trying to “acquire” the station it was put on.

7-12-14 Very loud pop and crack sounds coming from the dashboard while driving.

7-13-14 Several times during the day we had that missed/slipped gear feeling and jerking in the drivetrain happening while accelerating (not just in or out of turns). We had some very hard shifts that jerked the truck when we were coming to stops. We also noticed that we had to give it extra throttle to get it to accelerate from a stop today (where it normally would be about ¼ throttle to accelerate we had to give it about ¾ to get it up and going. It was driving around like it was dragging an anchor). We noticed it was refusing to go into V4 mode on flat & level freeway travel and our gas mileage dropped down to 11.4mpg today.

7-13-14 pop and cracks from the dash again.

7-13-14 Drivers seat back would “not” cool and the seat bottom just slightly cooled after being turned on for over 20minutes at the highest setting.

7-13-14 Driver seat rocked back and forth when start/stopping like it had loose mounting bolts.

We all understand that every time you use your truck, you have the exact same issues. Posting it here 10000000 times does nothing but take up server space. You need to be on the phone with GM, nobody on this forum can buy your truck back.

I agree to a certain extent, seems to me he is just trying to document these anomalies out in the open. I literally have every issue you have explained in this thread with the exception of the seat being lose. With my truck, my main concern is the slips and mis-shifts. This GM bulletin is my main concern, it's the only written document I can find from GM that somewhat describes my large issues:

#PIP5175B (Slip or side during a launch in first, second, third, or fourth gears. Delayed engagement into drive, clunk or bump during the 1-2 shift. May 2 2014)

I have opened a case with GM, taken my truck in 3 times to one dealer and twice to another only to be blown off. 2 dealers in my area wouldn't even look at the truck and gave me the "learning curve" story. I'm sorry but these trucks do not take more than 6k miles to learn your driving habits. I contacted my dealership today to speak with someone at the district level. Never in a million years would I think you could buy a 57k truck only to have it operate like 79 Ford Pinto. I am beyond frustrated, words cannot describe.

2 weeks ago my windshield snapped in half with no rock chip or anything coming in contact with the windshield (there are 10+ others that have documented this on here). But tell me how you would feel if when in stop and go traffic, your truck tries completing a downshift and gets utterly confused so it tell the motor to run at WOT and you almost rear-end the person in front you - all the while you are standing on the brake pedal to prevent running into someone. This has happened to me 3 times now. The worst case was when I was coasting up to a red light at 20mph with a motorcyclist crossing the intersection. I came within feet of running this guy down and when I explained this to the dealerships their response was wait for an update from GM. I asked how many people I had to kill to get them to come up with "said" update. This has happened 3 times in the last 6500 miles, how the hell am I supposed to replicate this problem to prove it to a dealer?!

Bottom line, climb the chain, its the only way anything will get done. Sorry for the rant... I feel your pain sir, good luck to you!

for your shaky seat you may have the "safety alert seat in your truck" ? the dealer told me about this when I test drove one a couple weeks ago , check your build sheet for it

I think its part of the drivers alert package

You were just kidding around with this, right?

Yes, our truck has the driver’s alert package. Yes, we do have it set to vibrate in the vehicle setup menu instead of the beep for lane departure and collision alerts but that is not the issue - completely different animal......

The seat has a slide rail or mounting bracket issue of some sort. It is either very poorly designed and it is starting to come apart at the pivot points or bolts in the mounting brackets/rails were not tightened or designed correctly from the factory.

Here’s a status update that will that will make you think twice about GM products or sending PM’s to the GM reps on here.

After sending all the information about our truck on this forum in PM’s to the GM representatives that claimed they were going to help resolve our issues, we were recently informed by our local dealers service supervisor by phone that they will not take the truck back in for repair. We responded with the fact that it currently has the outstanding factory safety recall for the transfer case shifting into neutral and that it needed to come back in but we were still told by our dealer to take it somewhere else because they were not going to work on it again. We were also told that GM was NOT going to be sending out a factory field engineer/mechanic to look at it for us.

We called the next closest dealer to our location and gave the service manager a quick background history on our truck, we let him know that we have already contacted GM and that we have an “issue log” for the mechanic to look over in addition to the previous repair paperwork by our local dealer. The service manager then told us not to bring it in to them for repair. He said they will not get paid to do diagnostic warranty repairs by GM if the truck was not showing any “codes” in the computer. We let him know that it has a current outstanding safety recall that needs to be fixed right away but he responded with QUOTE: “Don’t bring it to our dealership we will not look at it.”

So what the hell is going on here?!?

Again "some" of the random issues have been seen by both the head mechanic and the Service Supervisor at our local dealer but we get told QUOTE: “no codes so we can’t fix it”, “GM won’t pay for us to repair it without error codes”, “you can’t undo an update and reinstall an old operating system over a newer one”, “You have too many problems listed for repair and we need to focus on just one”, “that’s only a minor problem, why are you worrying about that”(cooled seats not working and are loose), and “we were instructed by GM in a technical service bulletin not to repair that problem”.

I have the feeling this is NOT going to end well GM…….. not well at all.

Well I'd say you have exhausted all of your options and It sounds like it's time for you to get a lawyer then!! Good Luck to you!

Sounds like this all comes down to your dealership, they suck. You need to be on the phone with your regional GM rep., they will get things done for you.

I can see why the dealer probably did this, GM probably leaned on the dealer when you contacted the service reps on here and they just decided you are not worth the trouble, I've got some of your issues that you have on my 2014 SLT. I would say work with your dealer as much as possible on one issue at a time, the list of issues is too big in my opinion for any dealer to handle at this point .

The customer service reps for GM on here are nothing but PR their main function is to make it look like GM cares as you have found out this may differ from reality, if your dealer is trying to work with you on the issues it's best not to get them involved all they can do is pressure the dealership, they won't give you dealer extra money to fix your issues quickly. Customer service reps can't fix the issues with your truck , only your dealer can so communicate with the dealership and be reasonable.

At this point I would advise you to just sell off the truck or trade it in for something not GM, the all inclusive service you are looking for can probably be had at BMW, Mercedes, maybe Toyota if you are looking for a pickup. I know you paid a good penny for your pickup but GM is no Mercedes or BMW or even Toyota probably, the company simply is not there in all inclusive customer experience you are looking for.
